Hamilton is threatening that he may leave F1 if off track problems continue to overshadow on track achievements. Welcome to big kids racing, son.

You know, this guy is unbelievable. I am pretty sure that in his mind, if he gives this ultimatum to FIA, he expects them to say>Oh no Hami, please whatever you want, just don't go<
Which makes me thing. Either his arrogance has taken on new heights, or there is something that we don't know, involving a lot of money and a not-so-clean deal.

i think it's a combo of his age, his ego, his lack of experience, etc.

i'm willing to cut him some slack here. nothing to do with arrogance or anything, but someone at his age, it's all the ego. trust me, give him a few years, and he'll grow outta it, or, he'll come a nother Alonso :D

I hope not. I still like the kid, he's a fantastic driver that isn't afraid to admit fault. Alonso is also a fantastic driver, but he thinks he's perfect and any trouble that befalls him is not his doing. I would hate to see Lewis go that route. :(

thats true. i think Hammi is really a good driver. he's having a great season, and he's overshadowing his teammate. but like i said, every man whose in the early 20s will go thru this thing. the ego thing. it just happens. there's just 2 ways to it. either they learn and mature from it, or, like in Alonso's case, grow into it..

You also have to admit Hamilton has had one heck of a season OFF the track, the pressure on the track is probably pretty intense but off the track he has been in the middle of a lot of things that are not part of a normal season, I can see his point wanting out. I don't think he was using it as a ultimatum just talking out loud about how frustrating the off track world of F1 has been for him.

I don't want to get into the discussion of whether he caused or was part of it, because at this time I do think he was a by-stander just dragged along. I am not sure if he was in the middle of the crowd or at the end of it while being dragged :)

However like someone else has said already welcome to the big leagues.

To quote Steve Machet, "GO ON! GO ON! GO ON! GO ON!!!!!" You can take your clutchless MB and go back to being a big fish in a little pond.

    Spot on.

Many think that if Ferrari doesnt win both championships, its a bad year.
To Them; you got your "gift", time for you to take your own advice and stop whining.
Cheer up, you can possibly win the WDC if the FIA is presented with new evidence. After all its not how you win but the win any way you can get it.

I think it's just very naive of him to say something like that. What did he expect? And does he really think it will make a difference saying something like that? Doesn't matter if he's 20 or 40 years old. He should know this is how F1 is. (Not saying that it's right but the world isn't perfect).

Wow pretty WASP-ish statement there but its not the first on this board in regards to Hamilton.

Don't really care about his color, and the remark was tongue-in-cheek. That being said, I was simply replying to a previous statement.:)

So now Shamilton has become an F***ing whinger. If he wins this bloody thing (likely) he's going to be really hard to stomach next year. I might just concentrate on sports cars and vintage.
