As far as I know they have an option on him, but I guess that's nothing that can't be fixed with money ;) I even think that Vettel might become better than Hamilton, being two years younger and driving an inferior car at the moment... anyway, the current performance of the Toro Rossos is remarkable. Do you remember that this is the team that once was Minardi and had a subscription on the last positions!? Amazing!

Yep, and Alonso drove for them. Nice to see them outperforming Red Bull.

Yes Massa could have helped Kimi big time if he had finished second today. In Brazil...If Kimi finishes 1st and Alonshole 2nd while Lewis finishes no better than 6th then Alonsohole takes(yuk) the WDC by 1 point over Kimi BUT if Massa had finished second today then Alonsohole would be locked out of the WDC if Kimi wins in Brazil. Now Kimi has to win with Massa or somebody else in second while Lewis finishes no better than 6th.

I loved watching Schu drive...hell, I feel priveleged to have seen the all-time wins leader in action most of his career. However, I won't ever pretend he walked on water...he had warts like all great performers.

I could see the Kimi/Massa part happening, which would put KR ahead of FA. I can't see LH finishing out of the top-4 unless his car fails OR his ego causes him to make another bad decision.

On a perfect day, you win the race and the WDC. However, when the guy trying to get by you has had a faster car all weekend, you let it go and take your 14-pt victory over FA. Learning experience, provided by the school of hard knocks (not that any F1 driver really experiences 'hard knocks')

The whole thing is that you have to set yourself up for the best chances next race. Its not unforseeable that Lewis has a DNF and if he does then Kimi winning is not enough if Alonsohole finishes 2nd. If Kimi wins in Brazil then Massa has to come 2nd (or somebody other that A.. All this only if Lewis finishes 6th or better.

lol Theres no way they could have pushed that car out of the gravel.

The things that are happening and the order in which they are happening only makes me believe more and more that this season is being manipulated and orchestrated from those above. How can all this happen the year after MS retires? Is it possible that the boys at the top thought that they would lose big $$$$ with Mike gone that they overdid the act a bit.

I saw RD gesticulating almost as if he was showing the marshals how to push. But you are right, I would have expected RD to be a little more upset and Bernie did "predicted" that an accident may decide the championship, only I thought he was talking about the last race. I am not sure what you are saying about Massa, it looks like you are saying Massa was out of the WDC so Ferrari did not want to hurt Alonso's chances at the WDC. Interesting view if that is what you are saying.

Just watched ITV (British) replay of the race. After the incident, LH actually says to pit reporter Louise Goodman, "it's a shame really because I/'we' haven't made a mistake all year".......

How refreshing. I've never heard an F1 driver EVER say that (MS,Ayrton, Prost, Hak etc.). Fairly certain they never said that about any single lap they had either...

    Speaks volumes.

Kimi has a real chance of taking the title. All that needs to happen is for the McLaren boys to take each other out. A repeat of the kind of move FA pulled on LH at the beginning of the Belgian GP would do it.

Just finished watching the dvr of the race.. I made it through the first 10 laps last night before dozing off.. My wife actually stayed up, watched the entire thing live.. She woke me this morning, told me to go watch it, it was "interesting, that's all I'm going to say."

    Wow, she wasn't kidding.

    My thoughts-

Hamilton's gaffe, any driver could have made that mistake. Regardless of his results, my respect for him grows with every race.

Kimi's drive was solid. He frustrates me with his seeming lack of motivation and consistency. If he took his talent and combined it with Massa's desire then LH and Kimi would be the only two racing for the WDC. Interesting post race observations- Parc Ferme, he gets out of his car, and instead of going right (shortest direction to weighing room) he goes left and around the front of the McLaren and walks close to Alonso. Alonso reaches out and as an afterthought Kimi shakes hands. Kimi makes no contact with Massa. Walks past the Ferrari engineer and straight to weighing. Massa hugs the engineer. Kimi with his helmet off, looks like he has been showing some un-Kimilike emotion. Not sure what to make of all that.

Alonso.. I was a fan while he was at Renault, and moved with him to McLaren. I was a fan of LH since his GP2 days, and as the season started, I managed a front seat on the bandwagon. When the Stepneygate saga started unraveling, my Alonso support dropped to zero. I will support any scenario that prevents him from winning the WDC as we go to Brazil.

Vettel- great drive, redeeming for his confidence.

    Renault- totally lost this season.

Looking forward to Brazil.. and as far as I am concerned in the WDC, ABA. (anyone but Alonso)

I read on one of the F1 Rags that McLaren will be able to keep their Pit Location and Motorhome space, but not the points (Duh). Don't know how true that is, but has anyone seen the McLaren hospitality Home?

Steve, haha on that photo. Is anyone mentioning what a great job Sebastian Vettel has done in the last 3 races? If I was BMW I am not sure I would have let him go, if Red Bull is smart they will demote Mark Webber to the Toro Rosso Team and replace him with Vettel. Coulthard should give it up and they should hire Alonso. With Newey and Willis, they should come pretty good next season, still think it was a mistake to take the Renault Engine over the Ferrari motor though.

And hats off to Ralf Schumacher, hopefully he won't show up to Brazil, and they could put in Timo Glock and see how he does in that car.
