Which series is that and where? I had heard that one was going to be in the AMLS or something but I never got a chance to see it on SPEED. Bob S.
Didier Theys, Freddy Lienhardt, Elkhart Lake ALMS a few weeks ago. They are doing Petit Le Mans as well, with Andrea Bertolini as third driver. The car belongs to Lienhardt who is a very competent Swiss Gentleman driver.
Road America 2007 ALMS was the first race for the MC12 in ALMS. It has already aired. It was not carried by SPEED this year. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for the kind words....The Maserati got 3rd, not to bad for the 1st time out! Although seemed like alot of a car when compared to the Corvettes etc.
Then exactly who carries the broadcast of these events? It's hard enough finding the Rolex series if you even blink and that's been very entertaining to watch this year. I'd like to be able to see this. Bob S.
...yep! But how can someone mention a "mass-produced" F430 when a REAL supercar like the MC-12 leads the pack? Ciao! Walter
If I recall it was broadcast Sunday(the next day) on national TV, probably NBC. It was on right before the Live CART race at Road America. If SpeedTV was any sorta "SpeedTV" they would have everything!
Well there are a couple of broadcasts coming up on Speed and the MC12 is listed only in the first one. I have seen a few of the races for this series this year and I guess the problem is that the MC12 is just doing guest appearances and those just haven't coincided with one of the races I've seen yet. So this next appearacne will be their second this year? I remember the first appearance over here a couple of years ago and it wasn't a tremendous team effort so the results weren't that impressive. That was the whole Aston/Maserati hassle and I think Corvette cleaned it's clock as well. Was that due to unfair balast or what? Bob S.
The car is new,the seat needs to be taylor made for the driver and the engine needs to be tuned and started by the factory. Very impressive car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Maserati was never well received by the ALMS series.....I believe there is a ballast put in the car. With supposedly 750hp....it must!
Somehow there always seems to be an enzo where an MC 12 is spotted. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Ok, so I watched the Maserati in the ALMS yesterday. Ugh. Why does Maserati bother entering this thing. Same as last time, embarasing. It does very well in Europe but clearly something is wrong when it enters this race series. GT1 with 3 entries. What a joke. The ALMS website was so f*cked up all night that I couldn't tell how far back the MC12 really was. At one point it looked like it was well behind the top 4 GT2 entrants or am I wrong? They did give a very favorable mention about the MC12 getting the pole position for GT1. So what went wrong? So 911's beat the MC12???? Bob S.
