This may seem like an ignorant question to ask, but I am curious. Are there hard-tops for 360 spiders? Or is it just coupe or convertible?
There was one with a custom made hard top at the ferrari 60th bday in Italy. I believe it was made in Germany out of Carbon .
You can order them in Germany. It's build by the same guy who made the Hardtop for 550 Barchette. I don't have all infos here right now but I'll post later Martin
Hello Kevin, I found for you the factory who build the hardtops for 360 & 430 http://www.cca-munich.de/# Greetings, Dirk/Marbella
I just KNEW that I had seen that somewhere out there!!! Bookmarked (I thought I already had.....D'OH!!!!)
So there isn't a hard-top that will make a 360 spider look like a 360 modena? Because however nice that other hard-top looks, it just isn't the same.
Interesting, the German version takes some design ques from the Ferrari 250LM. Anyone have any pics of the 250LM?
Hard tops never look like the coupe version. That said, Ferrari doesn't expect people to be driving these beauties in the winter or inclement weather; probably why they don't offer hardtops. Also, if you want a coupe, your spider is worth quite a bit more than a coupe. I'm sure someone will trade ya.
I was told not to keep the soft top down. The dealer basically said: take the car out of the garage, take the top down, drive where you want, on return to your garage put the top up. Otherwise the top will shrink and give you trouble. Never store the car with the top down. If you have a hardtop on, wouldn't your softop be folded up for months at a time?
That's silly for the dealer to have told you that story. These are just cloth tops. Mine will be down for months at a time. I've had my Ferrari for 2.5 years and there's been no Seinfeld-esque "shrinkage," but even if it happened, all that you do to stretch out a cloth top is wet it down while it is down, then raise it and let it dry.
