So the quick story is that I have been offered through certain channels the 599 for a very reasonable cost (seemingly anything under 400K is reasonable). I had an opportunity to drive with (and race against) one a few weeks ago at wide world and although it was fast, didn't beat me :) But the price offered to me can't be beat and I am wondering if I should just by it for investment purposes?? What do you guys think??? I had been trying for some time to get a F50 (that went well) and just seems like this would be a good deal. But i really don't like it's styling and just dont get why it's so hot. Looks like a supra. Your advice would be most appreciated.

    +1.
If you're looking to make profit (buy/sell)...go for it. I don't think you'd really enjoy it after the monster you have now.

    Ford GT over another lambo.
    F50 over any other FCar.

Hey doc......if i flipped it would you take the FGT over lets say a diablo roadster vt. The f40's and 50's are just unattainable right now.

Depends on what you would get next. 599>FGT, 599=Lambo (depending on model), find an F50 and be set for life, flip it and get a Carrera GT before prices raise even higher, or hold onto it and wait for the F430 Scuderia and then trade it in on that beast :)

I originally wanted an F50 and I agree i would be set for life...Too much grief though. Asking for maintenance records was like puling teeth. Only after I drove up to meet with him and his troll wife personally in my ride did he stop treating me like a 5 yr old,and even then it was a nightmare.

What about the diablo????? Looks good. Carrera GT is just too hard to drive comfortably. Really like thr FGT ;)

    So.......Flip it 8 forget it 0

flip it. Why not? Seems like a simple answer to me as long as you're guaranteed to make money on it (which you are at that price)

It doesn't matter what you'd replace it with, its not the car you want so make some cash on the deal.

price is 295K....I could flip it now for at least 450....take my 155K and do what......or should i hold it for a while. My concern is that once it peaks.....could drop back to sticker.

For that price, you would have to be a fool to say "forget it"

It's a sexy car, but keep in mind they're getting old, and the composite tub has a lifetime after which I wouldn't want to drive one fast. I believe the tub is around 100k from Ferrari, not counting the labor to completely dis/reassemble the car.

F40 will still be going strong in another 20 years, and probably be worth more.

That said, you could do much worse than an orange Diablo 6.0. :)

Edit: you've got the lambo WOW factor...which to me is the same for the murci/vt roadster.
FordtGT...is fun on another level and on warranty. I say FordGT, but only cause you have the bull.

if the 599 is not a replica...you could buy it/ sell it...and by a FGT for free!

if i think i know who you are, you can't fit in an F50 not making fun or anything neither can i fit into the damn thing. it's made for 150-180 ibs man.

if you can grab the 599 flip it quick, cause i heard prices will fall.
the only reason i went into a murc, because i can't fit good into a Diablo, a 6.0 is a bit bigger, but the murci is the biggest one of them all.

    Good Luck
