WOW! Those 360's must sure be fast! The way you talk about them, I should just sell off my 348 right NOW and go buy me one! I mean, they beat the 348 by a HALF to WHOLE second in the quarter mile! That justifies the extra $70,000 in price!!! Thanks, sir, for enlightening me!

Now I can hang out with the mullet / Trans Am crowd & show them how the mighty 360 can beat the lowly 348 (ignore the 10 year age difference, adn the $70,000 price difference, DUDES). SWEET!

Of course, I'll still get wasted by a Trans Am or Camaro SS running 11's that costs $100,000 less than the Ferrari 360... but damnit I've trounced those PANZY 348 cars!!! Mission accomplished!!!

Stupid Barbie Ferraris... 13.4 quarter mile stock LOL

Don't spend to much time worrying about the price difference, because within about 18 months you will have spent the differential keeping the 348 alive. Also, would never call the 348 a pansy car. I think it's a great car. Now if you were looking at the Mondial, 400i different story... but with a 348 we will admit you to the super macho car club mullet and all. Also, check the performance stats I think the 360 stomps the 348 in the quarter mile by more than .5 secs. Also, to get a camaro to run in the 11's or less you're looking at least ~50K - 60K - unless you're a risk taker and enjoy the prospect of breathing and eating out of a tube for the rest of your life. Keep you eyes open the buys are getting better especially with the real estate mess going on now. Back to the Camaro comparison, it's more like this - - for ~$40K more you can actually have a car where you don't have people with shaved heads and tatoo's chasing you down at red lights yelling nice f'n car maaaaaan. I know this as I used to own a 69 SS camaro w/383 stroker which ran in the low 11's.

Well, there's a point where skill is going to make much more of a difference than the vehicle.

If you really want a deciding factor what car to buy NSX Vs. Ferrari 348, go to one of the meets or gatherings, that should help any one to make up their minds.

    IMHO : +1 = Ferrari !!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you can't afford a 348. Buy a 328. It's one of the best Ferrari's ever. Dependable, No computers, great engine, reasonable service cost, chicks love it, It's a classic car, It holds it's value. It's even a great track car. Loads of fun! The sound from the V8 is beautiful. You can't lose! The NSX is just .....yuck. High center gravity for the engine, cheap looking, ugly, I can go on......whatever it's a Honda. Enough said!! Get your head checked buy the Ferrari.

Let's put it this way, a few years ago I had a beautiful black on black NSX with 20" wheels, lowered, Comptech supercharger, etc. , loaded so to speak.
I've always thought it looked like a Ferrari at a glance and it drew a lot of attention wherever I drove it. It was quick, had a great tranny and handled almost like a true race car of which I've had a few.
I worked in Irvine Ca. at the Irvine Spectrum and lived not far away in a condo with no access to water to wash the car. I would drive the NSX about once a week to a car wash in Newport Beach on Pacific Coast Highway to have it hand washed, obviously everytime I would sit out front waiting with my coffee on a Sunday morning the car would draw the ire of those waiting for their cars as it was cleaned. One Sunday, a "Fly Yellow" Ferrari 348 Spyder was brought out front from the wash-bay and was parked next to my car. All of a sudden the attention was focused on the Ferrari 348, including mine, I just couldn't take my eyes off it. It was stunning, amazing lines, those 'Strakes', sitting as low as my car, yellow with tan interior, there was no comparison. My NSX looked old in comparison and it was at least 2 years newer. Of course it didn't help when the guy sat up from the waiting area with this more than hot hotty and proceeded to get into the Ferrari and pull out onto PCH with that flat crank Ferrari primal scream.
Shortly after that the NSX was sold and the search for the perfect 348 began. Ask me if I care that my NSX was faster on the low end or that it's tranny was nice and smooth with it's short throws or that I used it often with no apprehension as to putting miles on it or that I didn't need to change timing belts and worry about a major service..............who gives a damn!, It's just not a Ferrari and if I need to explain any further you just don't get it! Hey, unlike most here, I've owned both, driven both and have up close and personal experience with both cars attributes and weak spots. Although no doubt about it, the NSX is a great car, it just isn't a Ferrari........ a Ferrari is a Ferrari, is a Ferrari...........plus, until you belong to the "Brotherhood", you're just another car guy.......................end of story!

Dennis you sold the NSX because you could not get girls or because you felt you needed a Ferrari to boast your confidence? When i buy the 355 I hope my reasons are more manly.

If you wish to make it a girly-man observation, not that there's anything wrong with that, I believe a safe analogy of what Dennis astutely observed and expressed, is the gleam in his then smug eye turned out to be a Cubic Zirconia. The Diamond parked next to his once proud Cubic Zirconia was all it took to realize the error of his ways, and he lives happily ever after. Forever and ever. Amen.
