    Apols if already posted elsewhere:

Apparently Alonso was here in Modena yesterday to give a statement to prosecutors investigating the Stepney spy case. Reports are that his status is "witness to facts" (I don't know the precise translation to English).

Personally I am surprised that Alonso came in person to Modena and that he wasn't interviewed via telephone or by an officer going to him. Makes me wonder if he was in town anyway for "some other business" ;)

Anyway, conjecture in the media here is that the Police focus is currently on building an "overwhelming" case against Stepney.

Maybe that's not the only reason he's there. Some talks in Maranello perhaps?

Alonso,Alonso,Alonso...... Is all this because of Lewis Hamilton, or is Alonso on Ferrari payroll. Please let me know.

I hope this is the last time he is in Italy on Ferrari business. The last thing we need is a disingenuous whiner (or another one).

FA plays a dangerous game - his off track record is in danger of detracting from his on track ability

He was a reluctant attendee in Paris at the FIA hearing in September, but appears at the first request in Modena.

I used to think FA was the guy to replace M Schumacher - now I take the view that Ron Dennis and several others do - how can we dump him and his lacky De La Rosa soonest.

As angry as I have been at Mercedes and McLaren over this who thing with Ferrari, I had a great laugh yesterday.

Mercedes has, until the last 10 years at least, had an imperial reputation for building the best cars in the world. Incredible engineering and reliability, second to none. But then thier lustre began to tarnish. But even still, the average guy on the street, Mr Cardumb, still has that impression that MB is great, best in the world. So anyway, im watching TV last night and there is this MB car commercial. The guy bangs on the hood or something, I dont remember, but yada yada cars great, nothing in the world like a MB yada yada. But I joked to my daughter, I said "ya know, I hear under the hood they have a Ferrari engine". She looks at me oddly, and I said "well, yould never know cuz they put their name all over it". And then it hit me. For all thier work at convincing the world how great they were, they get fined $100 mil for recieving secret stolen documents from Ferrari, the smallest car company in the world. How funny. Kinda makes ya wonder who really pushed Rudolph Diesel off that boat that night. :)
