It must have been a stressed component? I mean why would the spring break unless it was stressed in some unusual way? Interesting nonetheless.

Is it true that this example had a heavy smash when it was young before AN bought it? I had a friend who looked at it when AN was trying to sell it and backed away after he checked it out. Repairs done by Maranello Concessionaires?

Nice shots. I truly love the one plated "MRA 1" and how it's casually parked on that street :)

    Joe,

I wouldn't think it was that stressed. But, I kind of remember a problem Ferrari was having with the original TR clutch return springs failing and Ferrari had an update for it. I'll have to check to see if this is the same part (Mondial QVs used the same spring as the GTO). If so, that would explain it. But, sometimes, stuff just happens.

They used part number 114826. Which was used on the Mondial 3.0 and 3.2 QVs, Mondial 8, and they used it in the Testarossa.

This picture was taken at the Spa Ferrari Days, don't remember the date, but end 90s.
I think the man with the red shirt was the owner. He was lying with his feet on the fender of the car (without his shoes)!

Anyone have pictures of the inside edge of the door (below the locks)? I have a reflector that catches light at night, and I'm trying to work out if a) its a federalized bit that was added and b) whether it should light up.
