Todd's events are smth like this but .... not every weekend. Interesting how I thought bout Cars and Coffee just yesterday , Vancouver has many supercars....but .. maybe our guys are too busy. And one thing I noticed - yes , Cali has more supercars , but when I look at C&C pics , I see different cars all the time , and I always same people at Todd's events ( Diablo , Countach , CS' ....(not mention last one with 20+ cars)). Why there is not a lot of new/different people at Vancouver's event ? So many supercars on the streets but none of them join events.

i would be so happy if vancouver started a cars and coffee!

there would be always more and more cars because im sure alot of other people that are not on ferrarichat would find out about this.

thanks phil for bringing this idea up!

edit : for Vancouver im sure alot of people would agree that every week would be to much, but for example if it was like even 1 or 2 times a month that would be good.

How ? I think that's why there are not many new people on ANY Vancouver supercars related event - Fchat , BCthread is THE ONLY place here u can find Vancouver Supercar related Information

to Marcel's edit - If it's not every weekend it's just becomes Todd's event - his events are good , they are like once/twice a month during summer time ( and those events can only exist during summer time since Van is a city of rain )

I know it probably wasnt the best time to post this since its winter season starting...but just something to keep in mind for next year. I dont own an F-car so would probably be hard for me to organize anything like this. I would need some help.

And there is also important difference between Cal in Van ( not mention that they have more Scars ) - they have C$C every week , so if Mr.X can't make it this weekend he don't loose anything , he just comes next weak and Here : Person who organize it say :" This saturday " and maybe 50% just can't make it THIS saturday , and next event is like next month ( probably they won't be able to make it again) . + Todd's events are made TO DRIVE supercars ( yup , they drink coffee but they live after ) and in Cal owners ( don't forget that those event are made for owners , not for us spotters ) just meet and talk etc.

And isn't it just enough to have a place and time ? lets say we make an event/meeting at parking lot ( or any other place which is not far and has parking place) , and we spread information that this will happen every week/2 weeks - no organizator , those who can make it , just come .That's how basicly we organized our street races back in Russia - everyone knew that every Saturday at place X u can race ur ricer and thats it. But how to "spread" this info ? forget bout Fchat , not every Scar owner is presented here

Another point. I know a lot of owners like to keep these events low key. I for one am not a fan of car shows, theres only so long I can look at a car, I want to hear them and I want to drive them.

Basicly the difference is - in Cal they meet and stay , in Van they meet and leave for a ride

ML84 : remember : events are for owners , not for spectators like me and u

Todd : so at least some of them read posts bout event , but just don't want to put extra kms on odometer

I know Vancouver does not have a huge market for supercars...but getting something small together and organized can eventually draw more people in the future. I'll leave it up in the air right now and access it earlier next year when the weather is better.

sniff, sniff - did I sniff the word coffee? I'm there!

Just arrange for dry weather (so I don't crack a nail putting the top up) and no salt residue on the roads (so I don't have to worry about the aluminum suspension bits needing to be treated in the spring again). And of course some good coffee. There's some great places on Commercial, but seems like wherever coffee is great, parking sucks...

Also a good place Kootenay and Hastings, and all Artagiano's are good.

I just pulled into Vegas, might be a battle to find good coffee here...
