What is it with the coppers lately? Seems like they're out in full force harassing motorists these days! Just today drove around Laval running some errands between 3 and 5 ... saw 6 police cars, 2 police bikes and 1 phantom cop car! In 1 hour or 2 on the road! Ridiculous. Didn't get nailed, though ... thanks Miss LR3 driver . If you're driving around, be careful for radars and donuts.
True. I will admit. You were always right big B. That Boxer is ugly. At first I liked it because I am a fan of "some" 80's tuning. But after looking at it closely in pics not anymore LOL You've changed my life mon ami!
Does that car also have a Ferrari engine (like the Lancia Thema)? The guy in Magdeburg (near Berlin) that serviced my Mondial has three of them in an old Barn...
No, the Thema 8.32 had the Ferrari V8, the Delta had the ubiquitous 4 banger 2L turbo ... after all, rally cars can't have more than a 2L, and have intake restriction.
Thanks for educating me! Actually, my mechanic in Germany (who is freelancing out of an Agip Garage, had one Thema in which he replaced the Ferrari engine with an Alfa engine and converted it to AWD. When I saw it (and rode in it), I knew that he was qualified to work on Italian cars!
Here's hoping we can pull the Ferrari owners and lovers in the Québec City area together in this thread to discuss our cars and each other's cars, and maybe even organize some local drives, breakfast or lunch meets, BBQs, or private garage meets when the snow gets deep. We're a bit far away to participate in all the regular Montreal, Mont-Tremblant, and Ottawa Ferrari events. I know of several nice Ferraris here in the Québec City area, both old and new, and there are undoubtedly others that I don't even know about. It would be nice if we could keep the thread interesting and meaningful (no "what is your favorite .....?" posts). Is there any interest? Même si mon Français n'est pas aussi bon que mon Anglais, soyez libre d'afficher en Français. By the way, this thread is for you too, Eric, Dante, François, and François. Chime in! Tom Kizer Lévis
A search of 5 pages of posts containing the word Quebec turned up nothing except mostly Montreal stuff. Tom Kizer
muahahahhahaa... then a markham, scarborough, north york, east york, mississauga, brampton, oakville...
but ... but ... it's the capital!!!! Ok, done being mean. Actually, I saw my first Aston Martin V8 in Quebec city last year!
No because you-know-who will be there all day... Hi Tom, don't take these comments bad. Not trying to be negative. It's just that certain city threads just die and have been for years. That and I almost had the mob after me when I had the bright idea of changing the Montreal thread to the Quebec thread. Never again. There is a crazy 80's guy around here that's f****ed up! On another note, any pics of your 365??? That'll keep this thread buzzing!!!
Prolly some guy from Westmount going there for the week-end. Blagues à part, there's no aston dealer in quebec right?
This is exactly the kind of crap I was expecting, but I was hoping that there would be at least enough maturity within FerrariChat to permit Ferrari lovers to create a local thread and run it in peace. After all, nobody twists anybody's arm to force them to read any given thread. I see I was wrong. I consider this thread closed and will not come back here. Those who are serious about a Québec City thread/group/club, send me a personal message, in French or English, and we'll start a private EMAIL thread. That way we can select who contributes and eliminate those who are more interested in counting posts than discussing Ferraris. Thanks, ClassicFerrari, for your post. Tom Kizer
On a more serious note: Why even have separate city threads? France and Spain (combined polpulation 3 times that of Canada) have only one thread each. It would certainly add more depth the discussions, as right now most threads are "home" to a few people. And most of us don't have the time to visit all local threads every day to see if there is something interesting. I personally don't give a hoot if that pink lambo was spotted in Vancouver or in Toronto, but would probably still like to see a picture of it. Mods...let's (I mean you) start a vote on whether all Canadian spotter's threads should be united or not!!!
You have a choice....either that or an "All O'Canada Spotter's Thread". Other topics can of course exist according to subject matter...
