I was at the Wynn dealer in Vegas a while back and a salesperson told me if i was serious they would let it go for around sticker. Everyone in the exotic car market has been overhyping all of these cars and trying to jack the price up... Paying a markup on an enzo is one thing, but on a 599 or 430! hmmm... Being rich does not mean you are ok paying stupid mark-ups, especially not if you have worked hard for it. It is the principle of it. Not the money Damn the falling US dollar! 890,000 US wouldnt be a bad price at all for the enzo PS. Even the chevy dealers are picking up on the mark-up craze. They quoted my friend on a new vette (NON Z06) and the price included a $10k mark-up! I am hoping that the market will slow down and more than likely it will.
Dear ChristianFR and the other nice people, 1. I WANT IT! 2. Its a Passion when you Drive a Ferrai you feel FREE! 3. I worked hard for it! 4. I want it for my self as a Christmas Gift! Is that enough?! May be anybody can help me! Nobody from you knows anybody how owns an ENZO? I think bad christmas this year.
We know people who own Enzos. Nobody is willing to part with them for the money that you are willing to give. It seems they just want the car more than you do and will pay for it. I want an Enzo for $1, but I'm not outraged that people refuse to sell to me at that price. Peter
ahhaha great. why you didn t buy it before? i mean for 599 and Veyron you have wait many months during this time it was possible for you to get a Enzo. So, i hope you find it one at a good price, i m agree with you there s too many people who pay unreasonable price. which color? not a large choice.
The prices go up and down all the time, european cars go for in between 780k and 900k Euros netto. You won't get better i suppose.
So thanks for these many response and so on and so on! But fact is i want an Enzo can anybody offer me a car for a good price? (Please dont send me links from mobile.de, classicdriver.com etc., thanks for the help but.....) I mean with good price, not an impossible price i know the market situation, but the car is for me private not for reselling!!! So please contact me, when you can give me an 100% offer for an real ENZO. Many thanks, BW
Your best bet would be to buy a car in the USA. The US dollar is so worthless in comparison to the Euro. I think it was 1.43 this morning. It would be a bargin to buy it here and ship to Europe. http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/Search/DRauSearchDetails.aspx?itemid=404985 http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/Search/DRauSearchDetails.aspx?itemid=321451 Here are the only 2 I could find for sale
Well some folks got well and truly owned on this thread! Turns out the guy is legit! Guys, I don't think he is complaining about the market price of Enzos. I think his beef is that when he finds a car like he wants, its through a broker who is probably working with another broker who is working with a dealer who is working with the customer. All those guys in the chain want to get their $100k cut from the sale of an Enzo. And just because this guy is rich, why should he have to hand that coin out to those guys for finding a car? So if you were said rich guy looking for OWNERS of said car, where better to look than Ferrari Chat? Sounds pretty reasonable to me. Dealing with an actual seller/owner is a lot easier than dealing with a line of brokers and dealers and not ever knowing if you're getting a good deal or screwed. He is saying he feels market price for the cars are around $950k equivalent in Euros, but he is getting prices for a million (which is over $1.4million USD). Ferraris generally seem to go for a bit less over there, so if he is seeing a $450k delta from what he feels is market and asking, then checking around for an owner/seller is not a bad idea. Don, I suggest you contact a few of the high-line and reputable car dealers in the USA. They may not have a car but can probably put you in touch with someone who has or who knows where one is, and rather than brokering a deal you can probably just pay a small-ish finders fee and deal with the seller direct. Its a rare car - your only choice is to put as many feelers out there are possible. Cast the widest net you can and hopefully you catch the car you want Good luck.
Sorry Mike, whether the guy's legit or not, I don't feel owned in the least. When I read stuff like: It sounds like a spoiled child pulling a tantrum at Toys'R'Us.
I think english is his 2nd language and his passion is getting confused with what you described. Spoiled he might be, but so would a lot of others if they had a couple houses in Europe, a F599GTB and a Veyron... Bottom line is, he's looking for an Enzo, and this thread is probably going to net at least someone who PMs him about a guy who knows a guy who owns an Enzo that he might be willing to unload, etc. etc. Some of you mentioned buying a US car because of the ever-crippling dollar, but when we're talking high-end supercars, I don't think there is much of a deviation on the price worldwide once these cars have been delivered by the manufacturer and are trading in the 2nd-hand market. Somebody please correct me if I'm off-base.

I would agree with you but he keeps pulling statements like this out; and this; Which is almost perfect English complete with idioms!! I find it hard to believe his English advanced from hunt and peck to "Its a Passion when you Drive a Ferrari that you feel Free!" and "Thanks for the help but....." in a few days. My radar is still beeping.
There is a good book entitled: "How to win freinds & influence people"... he hasnt quite got to it yet. Joe www.joesackey.com
The agression on this subject is unjust. The man is looking for a Ferrari, god forbid he comes to a Ferrari forum for advice/direction. I agree with what he says completley, and from what I can understand, he wants a deal to be made with the existing owner, cutting fee's and 'red tape'. The correct way to do a deal like this I feel. The man obviously has savy, so can afford to 'treat himself' without persecution from people on an internet forum. Very best in your search, I wish you sucess in securing the deal you hope for. 7 posts in more than 2 years !!! anyway how many ALL BLACK Veyrons have been made so far ... to me the guy is legit and he's 100% right in his attempt of avoiding an endless chain of brokers who do nothing but flip the car's price
Wasn't calling out anyone specific, and I understand the quickness to call out BSers, but if the guy is legit (and he seems to be) it's a collective 'owned' for the doubters. Not saying it wasnt justified, but it is what it is - a wrong call (if he is indeed legit).
