How do you get out of a car with a space that tight?

    RSM,

May I ask ....Did you pay the import duty or find a legal way around it.

I see your shipping to India, but when I was shipping a Dodge Viper to Pakistan (Lahore Area) .... they wanted 250% duty (Tax).

    Thanks,
    UZY

:D :D. Yeap. As much as it hurts, you can't mess around w/ import duty. It's pay to play. Congrats.....Beautiful car.

Thanks guys really excited about driving her....It is a real bummer getting the cars off containers as you literally have to squeze in the gap without damaging the door...:)

Congratulations RSM.....gorgeous F430. Are these pictures taken before the car was shipped out of Italy or while the car was in transit somewhere? Usually Ferrari Italy ships it's cars with a protective plastic cover on the car.....yours does not have it. You must have bought your car from a showroom in Italy.
Here are a couple of pictures of my F430 when it arrived in Egypt by sea from Italy.

Yup....got my Dealer (Hong Seh Motors) to do the PDI on the car before it was re-shipped!! hence they removed all the sticker on the car... or else they would need to fly down here to do it! :)

Well, they give the guy who drives in there some sandwiches and water and an empty jug to pee in and he sits in there until it arrives.

Is it transported by ship or air?
Actually it does not matter, what happens in case of/when turbulance or wavy ocean makes the car bump/crash left and right?
I mean thats a tight fit..

All four wheels are tightly strapped to the container floor......the car can't move.

I would assume so.....it's the safest way. On larger consignments, when several hundred cars are shipped, large car transporter vessels are used.

Possible damages during transit are *negligible* compared to driving in Bangalore. That is one brave man to take a Ferrari on to the streets of India.... (we're talking Tarek brave here!!!)
