Button's best season yet???

According to Nick Fry:

Fry reckons drives like the one he put in in Shanghai, show that Button is at his prime.

"I think it (China's performance) demonstrates a couple of things. Number one, I think it demonstrates just how good Jenson is," Fry told reporters in China.

"Ironically, for me, this is Jenson's best season yet. He's driven the best, he's acted impeccably, and I think he has impressed everyone in the paddock with how determined he's been in what is admittedly not a good car.

"The job for us is to go for ... stretchy targets, but realistic ones. You have to recalibrate yourself. At the end of last year, if we'd qualified only one of the cars in the top 10, in 10th place, we'd have been very disappointed with ourselves. But this weekend I think we were justifiably pleased because given the equipment we've got, that was a good result.

"So there is a certain amount of recalibration that you do have to do with the team. But it's also important to celebrate when you do have occasion to. Tenth place in qualifying for Jenson was a good one, and fifth in the race was just rewards. We need to celebrate that."

An alternative view:

Following his recent proclamation that 2007 was Jenson Buttons best year yet, Hondas Nick Fry has this week gone even more mental with an announcement that murder victims get the better end of the deal.

Ironically, for me, the victim is the real winner an inanely grinning Fry said yesterday. Its a no brainer, really. Their cost of living goes way down and their dreams of living a long life are recalibrated.

As an added bonus, their carbon footprint drops to zero forever!, the inexplicably-still-employed buffoon continued. Thats got to be a good thing, he added, crossing out the name on his office door and replacing it with a picture of the earth, like a complete div.

Fry claims that the murderers, if caught, are the real losers: Put it this way: getting banged up in Pentonville on a ten-stretch isnt anyones idea of fun, is it? Okay you might get a good bum raping, just like our drivers this season. But ironically, for me, the chance of rehabilitation and a long, healthy, happy life after prison seems like the worst end of the murderer/murdered deal.

Frys latest reason-defying statements are not the first time the Honda CEO has emerged jabbering from some sort of tear in the fabric of conventional logic. Previous leaps into a world that makes no f***ing sense have included, This Japanese bloke seems good at techie stuff. Willis, get your coat, youre fired, and of course the legendary, Hi, is that Super Aguri? I want you to take our race winning 2006 car, its actually completely sh*t and weve got something much better for 2007

Can't make much sense of quote's suffice to say I think JB has made the best of a bad job. The car this year has been bobbins and he done his best with it.
How on EARTH the car went so far backwards this year is mind numbing.

IMO Given the right car he would be on the podium.

Button Scored the most points in the 2nd half of last year's season than any other driver...

Was that worth nothing???

I believe Honda said their wind tunnel was calibrated wrong. That being so, all the data they for the car was wrong and development went in the wrong direction.

i hope Honda give 'em helluva car next season. so that they can challenge Renault, Beemer, and hoefully Ferrari and Mclaren.
