Well said...Im actually betting that USC will lose to ASU coming up. I have a gut feeling. I say they end this year between 5-10 spot.

I think SC could give LSU a better game at this point in the season. Although I really think LSU played very conservative in the second half to avoid injury since the field was so wet. I wonder what they will be saying next year when Miles is at Michigan and Spurrier is coaching LSU. uh oh did I just say that?

LOL Frank! But you make a great point: If Miles leaves for his alma mater, what better replacement than Spurrier? A big name who knows the SEC and can win with inferior talent. I'm not downing anyone he's coached, but he made Duke respectable and Florida a powerhouse, now SOUTH CAROLINA is in the top 10. Imagine what he could do with a talent-loaded team that knows how to win?

What are they saying in Baton Rouge about the Bo Pellini-to-Nebraska rumors? The media is basically saying he's already there, but I know little other than that and would like some input from Tigerland.

I hadn't heard anything about Pellini. But I did hear Spurrier was checking out the facilities and where his parking spot was going to be located

Nawww, FSU v. the Bangers will never be a a joke. :)

Yeah, there are always down rounds; but, there will be a lot more than pride on the line.

So who will be? Boston College? Matt Ryan is getting so hyped for the Heisman, and it's mainly due to his vicinity to east coast media. Don't get me wrong, I love the kid and they're not undefeated without him, but he's somewhere in the range of the 37th best passer in the nation atm, behind many other candidates in many categories. BC moves up with a week off, and should use all that extra time to prepare for what looks to be their only challenge left, Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. If they get past Va Tech, they should coast the rest of the way. But, this season, I'd bet that they're going to lose, cause everyone seems to want to find a way to do so this year!

I also think Rutgers got some referee help on more than a couple calls last night. I don't like to blame refs for anything because they do have a difficult task, but there were a bunch of calls that shouldn't have been made and a bunch that they missed, all of which looked to help the home team. I don't know if they were intentional to help Rutgers on their annual "Thursday night in the fall on ESPN look at us" campaign.

Another great day in the SEC. Thanks to Bama, Florida controls their destiny in the SEC East. If Tenn won out, they would've gone to the SEC CCG even though Florida destroyed them. The UF-UK game was exciting and Tebow is absolutely incredible. 69% passing for 256 yards, 4 TD passes and 78 yards on the ground with a TD. AU-LSU was exciting as well. Man I love SEC football...

A great win vs. FSU. I had to go out to dinner when we were behins with a pretty bad backup QB playing for us. I did not think we had a chance, but we won 37-29.

He's a sophomore and thus won't win the Heisman regardless. If you ask me who is the best player, right now, in the country? It's Tim Tebow. He was great at LSU. I had some LSU fans tell me he played incredible and have a new found respect for the kid, but our defense is what lost the game imo. Tim is getting better every week, though.

Btw, who would you say is the front runner in the Heisman? Darren McFadden? 3 losses. Brian Brohm? 4 losses. Andre Woodson? 2 losses and lost head to head to Tebow. Glenn Dorsey? Sorry, but defensive players won't get it and he's overrated (by the media at least). Only five teams this season don't have a loss. OSU, BC, KU, ASU, and Hawaii. Please list one person on those teams that you think is a better player than Tebow. Hint: Matt Ryan is not. :)

Yeah Dorsey is overrated because he is doubleteamed every play of the game and then has people cheap shot him intentionaly trying to injure him by hitting him low when he is already engaged . You are right about 1 thing though a defensive player won't win the heisman

Eh...USC played a great game, but we need a couple of big wins vs. Oregon and ASU and hopefully we get in good position.

We probably had very, VERY similar Saturdays, Dr. Cosgrove ;)

Just got back to Greenville. It's a much easier drive when you win big in a rivalry :)

Great game for the Tigers too, Frank. What an amazing catch to win the game, his arm was AROUND the d-back! Another great roll of the dice for the Bayou Gambler ;)
Can't wait to get the Tigers to Title Town. Any guesses on the decibel peak?

This game to determine the top of the SEC West, and there will be a ridiculous overflow of media hype.
suspect both teams will go with at least a dash of trickeration on special teams.
We both have a bye this week to rest.
I'm guessing this will be another "one-to-remember" in a year chock full of 'em.

First off, he's not double teamed every play. Not even close to every play since you weren't completely serious with that statement. Second, even if he was double teamed every play, why mention him in Heisman consideration? He doesn't lead the team in tackles (granted, he's not a LB), but he doesn't even come close to doing so anyway. Are you saying he should be higher in the Heisman race because he *possibly* could do more if he wasn't double teamed *sometimes*?

I just don't think of him as great a player as the media makes him out to be. Especially not after our (UF) offensive lineman Pouncey had his way with Glenn. Btw, Pouncey was a 5 star OLman coming into this season. :)

    Glenn's stats:

    MSU: 5 solo, 0 asst (2nd best on LSU's d) one sack
    VT: 5 solo, 1 asst (3rd best on LSU's d)
    MTSU: 1 solo, 2 asst (13th best on LSU's d) one sack
    USCe: 2 solo, 6 asst (3rd best on LSU's d) one sack
Tulane: zero solo, 3 asst (8th best on LSU's d)
UF: 4 solo, 1 asst (4th best on LSU's d) and one sack (btw Steltz had 13 SOLO tackles)
    UK: 2 solo, 2 asst (8th best on LSU's d)
    AU: 3 solo, 2 asst (7th best on LSU's d)

Sorry, but the stats don't lie and he hasn't been that special compared to other LSU defensive players. Particularly Ali Highsmith and Craig Steltz. Those guys NEVER get as much attention as Glenn Dorsey's showboating attracts. After every play, Glenn is pumping his fists and shaking his head like he just won a championship...lame.

Enjoy the gift. FSU was a better team, but we sure stunk up the place.

As much as I hate to say it, Bowden needs to retire. At this rate Joe Pa is gonna pass him anyway. But this is embarrassing. I guess we might as well see if Bobby has one more top five recruiting season left in him, but I kinda doubt. Sad. Very sad to go out this way.
