Great pictures, I love these cars! My Dad had a four Grifos, a LeLe, and a Fidea(four door sedan, not sure I spelled it correctly). Imported them himself, we drove from Sacramento to Victoria, B.C. in one of them. I was early teens so my memory of them is not 100% but seeing them lately at shows and in pictures I'd love to have one now. They've got a bit more expensive since the 70's and 80's when he imported them, they were pretty cheap due to the dollar at that time. Hopefully, I can own one some day. Thanks for sharing.

Wow!!! I love the Varedo! I believe there is only one? I saw it at the Behring museum in Blackhawk (near Oakland, CA) about ten years ago. Is this the same/only car?

Thanks for the great pic! :)

Yes there is only one. It is still owned by Piero Rivolta (standing next to the car) and is available to see at the Rivolta Museum near Sarasota Florida.

Power came from Ford, the 5.7 ltr. Ford 351 Cleveland engine with 325 hp combined with a 5-speed from ZF. Wieight of around 1000kg .

So, it was FAST...? Just kidding!
Any tests of the car? With that weight and power, we are looking at Hot Rod!

Curious about one thing. The under the hood picture shows a radiator cooled with electric fans and no engine fan blade. When produced in the 60s, didn't it have a conventional fan blade and radiator cooling shroud? Electric cooling fans were pretty much non existant in the 60s.

Good question, actually that is a picture of the Iso Daytona race car and if you notice there is a hub for a fan blade, but they are not using it. Bizzarrini's ran with and without the fan blades. Street Grifo's always ran with fan blades and a fan shroud.

Notice how far back the Bizzarrini engine is compared to the Grifo.

I don't know of any tests. That would be interesting, Bizzarrini built the AMX project too and I heard that car tested very fast.

With the engine set SO far back, how did they access the distributor at the rear of the Chevrolet engine? Was there an access hatch in the dash???

You guessed right, there is a hatch in the middle of the dash! It's a mis engined car with the engine up front.

No, I don't remember what the white car was, there was just so much interesting stuff to look at. As for the Borranis, blame the poor photo but I think it was on the proper rims.
