Given that Mad Max and Bernie said that the fair thing would have been to take away drivers points from Alonso and Hami after the verdict, it is hard to imagine, that they would now give it to Hamilton this way.

I mean c'mon, even Bernie and Max must have some kind of heart and feeling for justice?

Don't tell me it is all about the $$$. Don't ruin the sport. Please.

If they are found to be in violation, they will have to be penalized at the start on next season. This season is OVER. Ferrari won - sorry - that's a fact Jack! You can't un-ring the bells in MAranello or the celebrations at this point. The Italians would kill the FIA.

In the 1995 Brazilian GP the top two cars (Schumachers Bennetton Renault and Coulthard's William's Renault) both lost their constructors points for illegal fuel, but kept their WDC points. After all the other legal issues this year I would be amazed if the drivers lost their WDC points in this case as it would effect the title.

Actually they can. Wouldn't be the first time the results of the Brazilian GP had been "adjusted" after the fact. There was another fuel scandal in the past and remember the chaos race where Fisi and Kimi had to swap the victory trophy at the next race?

    It could happen. :(

For something like this infraction I would assume the cars would be DQ'd from this race, losing their positions and points.

Well following the ruling at paris , the team should lose the points but not the driver right ??

In 1982 I believe they took away the points from Piquet and Rosberg because of the extra water the Brahbam and Williams carried for "Brake Cooling." Those points went to the Renault of Alain Prost for what its worth.

If the FIA does anything on the WDC they should go straight to hell, bunch of hypocrits that they are anyway.

This seems like an isolated event, I would guess the drivers point and constructors point would be stripped. If the cars are DQ'd, everything is lost.

So OK. Take BMW and Williams points away, but then they will have to take Alonso and Hamilton points from the whole season for driving a "stolen" car!!!
The funny part it Ferrari would stll have been the Constructors Champions by 1 point!!!!

FIA will lose all credibility if they DQ the cars, and I won't be going to any GPs in the future....I thought they stripped cars of CC points, not the drivers of theirs in past "events".

You could argue that the drivers had nothing to do with this, that it is a team issue. Same argument used with Alonso and Hamilton when MCL lost their constructors points earlier in the season for the pit stop qualifying fiasco. Strip team points, not drivers points from the BMW drivers if this is true.

    Breaaking News:

The FIA is investigating every living person on this earth for being alive and breathing during the 2007 Brazilian GP.
In another announcement the FIA has fined every F-chat member who celebrated early $288,368,657,129,.095467.

The counter argument would be a performance gain and hence the reason Hamilton couldn't pass them.

Hey, I'm playing devil's (= FIA) advocate here.

My hope is pinned on Bernie however: Yes, he wants his wunderkind to become a champion, but at the same time he and Mad Max know how immensely unpopular green table race decisions are and that it will have a negative on viewership and ultimately $$$. If $$$ is the only language they speak, they should actually understand.

If they give this argument , then they should also strip the Mclaren drivers of their points ! Ugh..Unbeliveable season.

I will never watch another F1 race, if the title is taken away from Kimi Raikkonen. It will show that the FIA is completely 100% biased towards Lewis Hamilton, who should have never even been allowed to compete this season because his car is illegal.
I wouldn't be surprised if Ferrari drops out of F1 if they take away Kimi's title.

GOT BACK FROM CENTER OF ROME ,its very cold and we were 20 Ferraris celebrating on the streets of Rome! Next week Ferrari day at Mugello.

Saw the news just now and yes the 3 cars before Hamilton had different fuel temperatures! Wow I never knew that this rule will compromise Ferrari winning.

Jean Alesi was interviewed about Fuel temps, and he replied that fuel temps don't change nothing !

Hope this is not another plot to make Hamilton win.

Anyway we already celebrated here in Italy !
