... and presuming they could have won the appeal. (Which wouldn't have been a given, for much the same reason McL got zapped but the driver's didn't -- under the new "confess and be forgiven, lie and get hammered" FIA policy. I guess Max and Bernie are getting old and worried about getting a pit pass to heaven. )
..what can I say, this was the best race since Schumi won the title in 2000...I jumped and kicked and screamed like if it was a soccer match!!! ...this had miracle, a lucky punch, a 4 leaf clover all melted into Hamiltons coffee in the morning...this was insane. ...Massa was SUPERB what an incredible race!!! The start, the way he blocked hamilton, the way he made way, the way he led, then assumed his role, briliantly scripted by Todt, the passing was clean and sporting... ...Kimmi was perfect, he made no mistakes, no silly perfomance, nothing for back up, just all out speed till the last lap!!! FERRARI WAS PERFECT, the car, the brakes, the tires, the consistency, the reliability...damn I love this people. ...hamilton did SO MANY mistakes, and then the had his gearbox half way dead...I took some heavy duty MOJO to achieve that...posting pictures tomorrow that prove MY MOJO WORKS!!!!! CONGRATS FERRARI, CONGRATS KIMMI WDC 2007, CONGRATS MASSA WDC 2008!!!!! Enzo is Smiling big time!
These kind of posts aren't necessary; why can't we just celebrate? Its bringing negativity to an otherwise very positive afternoon. Who cares if others had a different opinion than you? Is it that important to you to be right, and to point your finger at others? You are wrong about one thing; Massa is not a midpack driver, and demonstrates that in each race. Too bad he will never be able to sway your opinion.
I disagree with you completely. I have not suddenly jumped aboard the Kimi bandwagon, and I still don't much like Kimi being on the team. Although I never said Kimi should be fired, I do not like seeing him wearing red in the slightest. It doesn't fit him, and he doesn't fit the team. I was very disappointed that Ferrari hired him last year during the 2006 USGP weekend and put M. Schumacher in the uncomfortable position of being forced to choose between retirement and knowingly pushing Massa (his protege) off of the team. Kimi has even insulted Schumacher on several occasions this season by his words and intentional lack of appearance for certain team events. When given the chance, he chooses to disrespect the man who helped develop the team into what it is. I do not believe this is appropriate for a team driver. I much prefer Massa over Kimi. His personality, experience, and dedication make him a better fit within the team. He seems less selfish than Kimi, and more passionate and excited about being a part of Scuderia Ferrari. Massa had several cases of bad luck this year - more than Kimi. Did Massa race a perfect season? No. Did Kimi have any bad luck? Sure. But would Massa have had as many or more points as Kimi without the bad luck issues? Yes. Is Massa the better fit at Ferrari? Yes. Is he Schumacher's preference for senior driver? Yes. Would Schumacher have done better than Kimi this season? Yes. Did di Montezemolo make a mistake to hire Kimi? I personally feel it wasn't the best choice, or best timing. I am happy that Kimi beat out the McLaren team, but don't read any further than that. I am not a Kimi convert. Felipe, I hope you win WDC in 2008. I think you will, given equal treatment at Ferrari.
HAHAHAHAHAHahahahahaa!!!!!..+1...too bad the IGNORE doesnt block quotes too...COMPLETELY AGREED MASSA IS EVERYBIT AS FAST!!!! and some of us, including TifosiRon, YellowbirdRS, RemyZero and MYSELF believe there is NO WAY you can call any of both faster YET... Massa will nail the WDC...WITH A VENGEANCE!!! HAPPIEST RACE AFTER SCHUMI BECAME CHAMP IN 2000!!!!
welcome mate, let me introduce you to TifosiRon, YellowbirdRS, RemyZero and myself, Ambassiatore, please feel at home!
wet blankets are everywhere, now McL are protesting the fuel decision, you'd think they'd have had their arse spanked enough this year but oh no, good old Lucifer is a wet blanket, like some of his disciples, to the end
Its already been decided, no penalty. Kimi WDC! Edit: or did MM appeal the decision? I might have missed that.
Add me to the group, I have been behind Massa all year and enjoy his personality and his continually improving driving skills.
McLaren appealed....but I would be shocked if they DQ'd those allegedly involved....I think loss of CC points at most.
Yeah, they appealed it. I sure hope you're right. I haven't thought about that yet, but your idea about losing contructor's points seems pretty appropriate.
This had to be one of the greatest weekends in my life, at least as far as sports are concerned. Now if only the Cincinnati Reds could play like the Big Red Machine again... What an amazing finish to an amazing year. I'm not even going to begin listing all the quips of fate that hover over the Formula 1 2007 season, except for my favorite: Kimi leaves McLaren and beats them in the WDC. Thanks for a great season!
This is completely retarded. I hope the FIA removes all record of LH's and FA's existence this season because RD is actually appealing this crap.
+1 I am SO ready for this all to be over. Hell, we could be into Winter testing before we actually know the 2007 WDC. Ridiculous.
i can't help but think, was it Hammi's arrogantness or cockiness got in his way at the race yesterday. he knew damn well, he just needed to finish 5th to be WDC. but he went overboard, and tried a stupid and silly move against Fred, and he went off the track. i think, if he had just maintained in 4th, and his engine cut out, he still could have fin 5th and got the WDC. same thing like in China. he just had to finish the race, but he was taking unnecessary risks, going wheel to wheel with Kimi, and as a driver, should have urged the team to change his tyres when they were gone. but still, all credits to him. he's a good driver, but not a great driver----yet. i was quite worried if he pulled another drive like Ms's last year.
I am a Massa fan, but he wouldn't be a #1 driver on any of the top teams. He is, however, possibly the best #2 ever....
Yep, unless it was to suggest he should not go into further details Of course Kimi will have to return the favor. ++
