1st off I'am a Ferrari fan because I bought one.

Some folk's may not like that concept but in my case this is it. I'am not a manic supporter.

I have had a conflict this year but really I was in a win win situ.

I just had a blast to the shops in my car and felt extra special today.

My point is IMO F1 does sell cars and it is great to drive a world beating scaled/filtered down F1 machine thus feeling part of that success.

Win on Sunday, buy on Monday.

Why would anyone want anything else than a Ferrari?

Silly, just silly to think otherwise. :)

I think its odd that some relate the charisma of the car they drive to a Formula One car's results on the track. But Ferrari has the most successful brand name in Automobiles if not produced products on this planet. They must understand human nature better than me.

    No probs

North west In between Manchester and Liverpool..

I cant think of who quoted it but it goes: I would like to live in Manchester, England. The transition between Manchester and death would be unnoticeable..

Dont believe it its not that bad LOL :D

I can't afford a Ferrari machine, but this championship certainly gives my current efforts to get "there" a major kick in the bottom.

I wouldn't drive a Ferrari and a Toyota if they wouldn't compete in F1. Simple as that.

I watch Formula 1 because I own a Ferrari. If I didn't own a Ferrari, there's no way I'd waste time on an open-wheel parade

I think purchasing a Ferrari is independent of Ferrari winning championships. Ferrari road cars have their own appeal, their beauty is very alluring. Winning chapionships sure helps with the preceived value of the company and the car. It's like a home team winning a championship if you live in that town, it may make you go buy a cap or shirt :)

I have some TIVO of the Honda blowing up in Brazil...(in excellent style, BTW), I am going to keep playing it for my oriental GF many many times, every time she gives me the "Ferrari is not reliable like Honda" line...

    Forza Ferrari - again!

Yes it is strange there road cars are renowned for being over engineered.

I have broken down in my Ferrari asked the rescue service bloke do you have call out for many Honda's "No hardly any"

Perhaps you could compromise on a Mercedes? I saw that their "fail-safe" gearshift system saved Hammy a point or two -

'Engineered like no other car' -

    Indeed.

    LOL!

I have to admit, it recharged my love for the cars. Can't explain it, but that was just a huge race to me. I think I am becoming a true tifosi (irrational thoughts driven by inexplicable love for a car manufacturer).

For many, a race winning brand plays on ones vanity when considering a road car.

Just imagine how many more Spykers would be sold if they stated winning races.

You mean like Lamborghini or Koenigseg?

But then, Spyker can't state a winning race until they actually win one.

Not winning so much as trying. But the man who built my cars died almost 20 years ago. I dont think he will be winning anymore F1 races, so no, its not important to me wanting the car.

The road cars are so different from the F1 cars it doesn't factor in for me at all.

I could see if it was the 360 races or whatnot but not F1.

No . I would still want one no matter whether they won or lost.

Judging by the waiting lists for new Ferraris here in the US many people don't care about winning either.
