Yes, wow ! but it's a scan excerpt from the book "Automobile Year " # 14 1966-1967 without the origin and the author ! But more than the "scan" is a copy of this: http://www.forum-auto.com/sport-auto/theme40/sujet378358.htm#t14856148 Published in three languages: french, english and German by EDITA S.A. 1003 Lausane.
Great link, but it takes a LONG time to load the entire page. I love this photo of one of the ugliest Ferraris ever....I like ugly cars... http://images.forum-auto.com/mesimages/336526/1951%20Marzotto%20V.%20Fontana%20su%20Ferrari%20212.JPG
thank you for sharing that link. there is a wealth of info and significant pictures there. i really enjoyed it!
It depends on the race. Below are pics of the 330P3 Can Am on the starting grid at Bridgehampton 67 and the outer rims on both from and rear were blue but the centers were gold. The pic beolw it must be a different race but not sure which as the rear rim looks all blue and there is an STP sponsor on it. Sorry about the small pics but these pics do not belong to me. Dan Tooker is the photogtrapher. If you want bigger pics (and he has many others from the 60's and 70's) I can supply contact info. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Now I am really confused. The Don Markle photos were from Mosport. On the ones you submitted, the surroundings look like Bridgehampton, but on my MG model of the Bridgehampton car the sponsors' decals are Fram and Firestone, and the Ferrari shield is on the car rather than the NART rectangular badge. Firestone is on the tire sidwalls as well. ???? Gil
I don't want to beat this to death, but here is another web photo from Bridgehampton. (Unfortunately I can't reconnect to give proper credit) It must be from practice. Note the absence of the diaplanes at the front and sponsors' decals. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Fantastic! One of the greatest photos I've seen here! Simply breathtaking! Any chance of getting it in higher resolution?
David , keep the pics coming ! Love this thread ! Here's one of my favorite shots ( hope it's not repost ) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hello Gil, The pics I have are from Bridgehampton. The MG Model is wrong. NEVER go by a model for correctness. For those who want the contact info for the pic please send me a direct email to [email protected]. To be honest I am not sure the person who took these photo's even sells photo's anymore. I used to see him at shows but haven't seen him in several years. Sincerely, Ed
David, Where, when and who on the photo of #23? Great photo! Looks like the driver's being interviewed. Gary
Great Is the building pictured that famous shed which Ferrari once used as a workshop and garage at Le Mans? I remember seeing other great pictures in some magazine...
Stardust G.P. (Can-Am) Las Vegas; 12th November '67; #23 car is s/n 0860. Driver Chris Amon being interviewed, but appears to have been distracted by Mauro Forghieri (in polo shirt and glasses).
