Is he going to put some tires on the back with some wider treads??? I like the look of the Pantera, but I have never been in one. What are the driving impressions?

You should take a ride in one. They are very fast and exciting cars, and I think they are THE best buy on the collector car market and have been for a very long time. Muscle car enthusiasts look down on them because the body was made in Italy and foreign car enthusaiasts look down on them because they have an American engine. But they are very quick, they have a timelessly beautiful and clean design, and they are very cheap to maintain. You can literally buy a new engine for the price of an annual service on a 12 cylinder Ferrari.

Youre right on the money. Funny, its those things that make me love them...Italian body, American muscle. Lets all do what we are best at! ;)

This car is AMAZING! I couldnt think of a better way to do a Pantera.

Dont forget that most most importantly, in stock trim they can blow away most muscle cars and exotics...brutal cars. Hot rodded they are incredible, virtually limitless set-ups for power and handling/braking too...all for much cheaper than the " thoroughbreds"

Thanks Jas for posting the Pantera pics. This car was originally owned by Peter Revson. Pantera advocate for Ford. Can Am & F1 driver, heir to Revlon that perished in time trials in S Africa in '74. The Mangusta pics by Issac-Thanks Issac, is a '69 that underwent a 250K resto in '95 has traveled only 186 miles since! I was told it won its class at Pebble Beach that year.
    Enjoy!!

Stunning Goose. Absolutely gorgeous. I think the Miura and the Mangusta are right up there with my all-time favorite designs.

Nice Pantera could be had for ~35- 40K Mangusta add another 10-20. There are only 150 of the original 401 Mangustas made still registered to exist. Some are complete basket cases. Problem with some Panteras is since they can be had in the 20's some bad taste mods/add ons can be found on otherwise ownable cars. One need not look far.

Interested in the wheels on that goose too, tell us about them. Do you not drive this car?
I was trying to buy a Mangusta is California over the last few days but could not get the car checked out as the owner was away, had another looked at also but it was in pretty bad shape, the seller was not honest in his description.

Pantera wheels are Boyd C's and the rears are 18X13 w/345-35's The Goose wheels are Etoiles 17's I believe the fronts are 10 and rears 12". The Goose is only exercised to temp and put away. Too hard to keep it to that detail if driven on the street regularly. I do drive the Pantera on the street though...
