urghh...what part of the car hit you to do that!? lucky you didnt snap it....im told its under so much tension that it 'rolls' up the back of your leg if it lets go :S
OUCH!! Luckily it didnt cut your achillies tendon mate!! A friend suffered a cut tendon once. EXTREMELY painful he told me! Took him a while to heal/recover from it too.
Ouch! But it'll heal in no time. Last month, my mate grabbed my skiis (whilst I was still wearing them) with his bare hands and sliced open three fingers to the bone (between the webbing and knuckles), poured blood (there was a large red-spattered patch of snow) and received many stitches. But he got up and skiied/jumped the next day. All good now too, slight scarring.
if the edges have recently been done, razor! got my snowboard edge honed the day before my ski trip this yr....picked board up (didnt even have bindings on) put board down, and noticed blood everywhere nice little '45 min bleeder' and didnt even feel it :-/
Sheesh! Remind me to never go snow sking! I would probably crash and cut my own leg off or some sh*t!!
I did something very similar on Melb Cup day last year. My injury was caused from using a metal letter opener, that I had sharpened........ as a screwdriver. I was tightening the bunny ears on the tele. Went in for a second time, to really get a good grip and tighten the screws up, slipped and cut through to the bone on 3 fingers. Me being so tough thought, I can deal with this, walked into the kitchen with the stream of blood trailing behind me, thought I would be able to bandage my digets up. When I finally thought, tooooo much blood, its not stopping, went to the first aid officer, who then passed out, finally got to hospital and they said I would need lots of stitches. ahhhhh dahhh, I know that. I opted out of not having anesthetic, because they were going to have to jab each finger a couple of times of which was going to hurt just as much as having the stitches without it. After about 1/2hr screaming my phucking head off, they gave me a jab of morphene and I was "emily in the sky of diamonds"
Well this year when I went snowboarding at Perisher, it was so much bloody effort... felt like I had ran 5 marathons by the end of the day. But its always pretty good fun you would enjoy it Pap.. just go to the beginners slope and wrap yourself in bubble wrap
I reckon I would enjoy it also. Will just have to take it easy and take my time. I went swimming this morning. 1st time since Jan this year. Swam 50 metre laps, did 400 metres and my arms felt like falling off. Going to swim 500 metres tomorrow. Then go another 100 metres more on Saturday. Ect....ect... Back riding the bike again also. Eating healthy, doing great. Nicole has even lost 3 kg she reckons. Just from eating smarter and healthier.
Way to go I go for a morning jog along the beach.. thats about it for fitness for me, had a membership to Fitness First for a year but never went... but yeah sunrise jogs are good Swimming is the best exercise though, it does a lot of muscles etc at once... I should get back in the pool, been ages since I last swam..
Pappy takes 1 can of Tuna and 1 can of corn to work everyday for crib. Days off, I take it as it comes. Tonite, dinner is 1 can of red salmon. Exercise is the way to go mate. Perfect weather for swimming also. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I hadnt been to the snow for 24yrs (that's when I left the UK) and then went about 3yrs ago, and I cried like a baby, because I couldnt believe what I had been missing out on for all these years. I built snowman, dived off massive snow hills like superwoman, into the snow, played starfish in the snow, dug myself into the snow. My secret hidden Identity. Image Unavailable, Please Login
