Who else is still jumping for joy that Kimi won? For me it has yet to set in, I still am in disbelief that it was possible to come back, though I (unlike other Ferrari fans) never gave up hope on the Kimster to win the title.
Kimi is definitely the favorite to win next year's title by a long shot after showing his dominance in the 2nd half of the season.

Happy happy joy joy. I have worn my Ferrari hat as a tribute the whole week. It´s starting to settle in, but for example, I have been awake an hour today and have allready thought multiple times about this.

Kimi was the class of the field in the 2nd half of '07 and there's no reason why he can't be WDC in '08.

FA didn't deserve to win and the sooner he and his lacky De la Rosa "get the boot" from McLaren the better

LH did a good job in his rookie season but made mistakes (although China's retirement came from a crass decision on McLaren's part)...his turn will come.

I'm very happy for Kimi, but lets not forget that he was gifted the last 2 wins.............so a big thanks to Mr. Massa!
hope to see great things from both those guys next year......hopefully Massa can stay in it until the end and we won't have any team orders, just good racing!

Kimi: Next year should be easier.
    Mon 29 Oct, 08:10 AM

Kimi Raikkonen has warned his rivals that he will start next season in better shape than 2007, and admits that he now has a taste for world titles.

Speaking at Ferrari's traditional end-of-season press conference, the Finn insisted that, despite winning on his debut with the Prancing Horse, things had not been right on his side of the garage until much later in the season as he struggled to get the F2007 honed to his driving style. Raikkonen, like title rival Fernando Alonso, also had to get used to the Bridgestone tyres, having raced on Michelins with McLaren until 2006, but reckoned that next season will see him on top of the car from the start.

"Next year should be easier - not just for me, but also for the team," he claimed, "This year, we had some difficulties to get the car right, as I wanted, so we'll see what we do for the new car. It's very hard to say at this point how good the car will be, but we have great expectations. We'll see what happens next year. But we have a good feeling."

The new world champion also welcomed the technical changes being implemented for 2008, believing that he will have a headstart on some of the newer arrivals to the top flight.

"When I came to Formula One, we didn't have traction control," he pointed out, "There are so many things coming up, so I think it'll be good fun - and more challenging too. Taking the traction control away will give us more opportunities to overtake...."

I am very happy. If Kimi had served his tenure in F1 and not got a world championship, it would have been a crying shame and a reflection on F1 than on Kimi himself. Same holds true for Moss.

Regarding Kimi, I had my moments of doubt in the early part of the season (e.g. Malaysia, Monaco) where I thought he made mistakes and was overtaken too easy and didnt seem to be dominant over Massa as I expected. But as I read later, he was struggling with the car which was not set up to his liking. In the early races he was driving around the car's issues in an unnatural (to him) style. Later on he decided on fixing the car to his liking and reverting to his natural driving style. Hence the dominant performances in second half of the year.

And unlike Alonso and Hamilton, Kimi was dignified in his behavior all year round. No chest thumping, washing dirty linen in the press meetings, etc. He is a well deserved champ for sure and a great role model for young kids to emulate (except for the run on sentences :) ).

Sorry but definitely have to disagree with this statement, especially the role model. Lewis wins on that one.
