    Hi all,

Seeing that most of you guys have done the alice springs road trip, and perhaps some have sold / bought cars interstate,
I hope you guys would be able to recommend a good transport company for interstate delivery of cars.

requirements would be a trustworthy company, and person delivering it, (I have heard of bad encounters with damaged cars upon loading and unloading of the car)

and also, prefably fully covered car in a container or something like that, to prevent getting any stone chips and elements of the weather.

lastly, prefably door to door delivery service instead of depot.

    thanks in advance guys !

I concur - I've used Allan to transport my Jag and Ferrari. Open your wallet though as he ain't cheap. But your car will arrive as good as it left its pick-up point.

Has anyone had a car transported Adelaide to Sydney recently - transport company or other. Experience, cost etc?

Backwards... I had an X1/9 from Syd sent here a few months ago, $450 and arrived perfect - but it was through Ateco organised by the seller.

I also had another X sent via CarCarriers.com.au - easy online booking and <$500 too - open truck, but he washed it before delivery. :)

Ive shipped Syd - Perth many times, and also Perth - Brisbane with TNT (Now CEVA).

its not quite as personalised service as some of the others mentioned, however have never had any problem (with the exception of this last time, wehre i got 1 very small scratch on one of my rear wheels), so all in all have been good.

but if you speak to Andecorp, you may here a very different story, as he had some issue with them when he shipped from Perth - Melb a couple of years ago.

Yeap, this is the guy i would recommend too.

They where used by MotoriItalia in NSW to ship my mates 360 to Melb.100% Pro.

Of course if the said guy who wants the car transported pays for the fuel and my bar-tab, i would drive it down for him!

    Ciao

Nice car! What's that behind the 356 in the pic? Looks like an Arnage... could be totally wrong though!

You give TNT your car in immaculate condition without a scratch on it (they'll sign off on that too) and they will deliver it to you covered in mud and with a smashed/cracked bumper. Then they'll give you the run around while they will call YOU names.
Biggest bunch of tossers with their boss Nigel Grifiths the biggest tosser of them all. A b1tch slap is in order for him.

I cannot speak highly enough of these guys though:

Bottom line is don't shop on price. The best costs, just like most things in life!
I have never had a car damaged in transport yet and as mine are mostly unregistered................that's a LOT of transport.

If you do as good a job as Jack, you will be doing well. I'd trust any car to Jack.

Some sort of Bentley-didn't take too much notice. It had arrived from the East and was being dropped off somewhere in Perth, so was unloaded and reloaded after mine.

The 365 is now in Sydney in company with 330 GT 2+2, 212 (i think), 250 PF Cab-48 cylinders in all!!
