The same thing occurred to me after the race Sunday, but not exactly the same way. What if McL was just told they couldn't win the WDC and it was up to them how it happened-make it look good? The thing that really bugs me is the Hamilton tire thing. It just looked wrong, both him staying out so long and the way he drove off. I also don't see how he could have lost his cool with that move on lap one Sunday after reviewing all he had done wrong the race before. I don't think Alonso would have intentionally chunked his car (was that China?), but he could have been trying to take it off course and into a gravel trap and screwed up. I would have to see the film again. I know this sounds cynical, but it does at least seem possible. It will sure be nice to get beyond this year and onto the normal circus.

The championship was scripted IMO but not the way it ended. I think something got awfully wrong towards the end. I think there was some sort of a kink in the master plan.......
..................because this is what the script looked like...........

So you mean it was scripted whilst Lewis was winning, but when he lost it..... it wasn't scripted. Ah I see

A rookie losing, or a Ferrari winning? It's all the same thing. All

pissing on the same pot. Are we on the same frequency? I can relate to F1 -

but I do find it funny, but tedious, at the same time. What I say is:

Nascar, F1, Formula 2000, Formula Ford, stock car, Demolition Derby. What's

it all about man? In the world of existentialist nihilism and narcissism, it

means dit!! So, in other words, I'm dealing with it. Yeah, in fact I've

dealt with it, Steve! Here and now baby! As Adolph Hitler once said: "Dein

zimpt der zuk schpelph dopter." It's all here and now, dude. Roger, over and

out. Amen. (God, I love this forum - I can't get enough of it.)

Despite all the great things that he did, I didn't want a rookie to win it all, regardless of which car he was in. [It certainly didn't hurt however that the good guys beat the bad guys....]

    Cheers,
    Ian

NYCFerrariKid, in the world of existentialist nihilism and narcissism, all that matters is racing, if you say it is so (you supply the meaning). But back to the tread. Wouldn't this make a great novel? The only imagination needed would be changing the names of the characters and filling in the background on how the plot was developed and carried out. In the novel (movie?) two teams would collude with the team told to throw the WDC. They would use cold fuel, against FIA rules and be disqualified. Thus the driver that was not supposed to win, would win, against the wishes of the FIA. What a great idea for a book/movie. Wish I had thought of it.

Now that a little more time has passed, I look back at Lewis parking his car in the gravel trap in China and having gear selection trouble in Brazil and one would have to be daft to not see what went on here. Lewis finished 7th for a reason. If he had taken 6th then the pissed off Alonso may have thrown a spanner into the mess by DNFing and forcing Lewis to take 5th. Itz starring us all in the face and because we love the sport so much we refuse to see it. I can see it and im pissed at what was done to this sport this season and I now know that I will have other things to do on many of those Sat and Sun mornings. F1 has become a big business that has treated its fans with much disresprect this season. They must think that we are all fools. Yep its now the WWF1 to me.

Why would Alonso DNF and force Hamilton to finish 5th?

    That doesn't make sense.

Oh, I hate him. What a loud mouth, arrogant pig. He isn't a team player and can't drive for ****!

P.S. What team is he on?
