Hi Brian! Thanks for these pics. One question, what is under the cover in the back of the 65, Gallardo and F430?
You're in Bowling Green too. Cool so am I. I have the Black Porsche 944S2 and I am often seen with a few other Porsche's, Brits and the white lambo Countach hanging out around town.
Yep, Gallardo Spyder and F430 Spider. He also has a black Z06 in the garage. Kind of weird, he told me the 430 and G. are his daily drivers, but rarely drives the '07 Z06
My personal garage appeared on a national TV show today called Better (a TV magazine of Better Homes & Gardens). If anyone is interested in viewing the video, it can be found at the following link below (not sure how long this link will be valide): http://better.tv/bettertv/?cid=713344341&lid=435027957&tid=1276240636&ordersrc=rafbettertv The title for the video is: 'Ultimate Garage'. Chad, your garage is amazing! I LOVE that chair! One question though, did that TV girl really say "ferrari yellow" herself or did you tell her before which color (giallo modena, actually?) it is?
Those chairs are quite amazing aren't they? The company that makes them is called "Hot Rod Barstools" and you can find them on the web at: http://www.hotrodbarstools.com/. I found them at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale last January where they were exhibiting for the first time. Everyone who comes into my garage immediately notices them. They are very well-made, the chrome is outstanding and the seat is comfortable to sit in. I think they are perfect for the garage or your home bar. Check out this picture of a creeper that Hot Rod Barstools is launching soon. Its just one of the best things that I've ever owned for use in the garage. The seat even lifts up so you can store stuff in the inside. As for Jennifer Adams, the designer who interviewed me, she was aware of the color before the photo shoot. I consulted with her on the choice of color for the walls. I was looking for something to contrast the yellow cabinets and she recommended the charcoal black color I ultimately used. I admit that I was pretty skeptical about painting the interior this dark of a color because I was afraid that it would just suck all of the light out of the space; but we bumped up the lighting to 40 foot candles and having a well lit space is not an issue. The contrast between the yellow cabinetry and the black walls is fantastic and they literally jump out at you. In case your interested in learning more about Jennifer, you can find her at: http://www.jadamsdesigngroup.com/ Thanks for the comments guys. This detached workshop is my playground; now my main garage is next! Image Unavailable, Please Login
The tile is a porcelain tile imported from Italy. You would not want to place natural stone or ceramic tiles in a garage for a number of reasons, namely that they will stain if they come in contact with automobile fluids. These particular tiles are manufactured from porcelain and therefore are stain resistance (they are warranteed against staining). I have a floor coating in my main garage, but went with tile in my detached workshop for the look I was trying to achieve, which was a functional garage that also looks like a showroom. The thing that I like about a tiled garage floor is the fact that it antiques in its character over the years; whereas a floor coating shows its age after a few years. If you send me a private message I'd be happy to provide you more info about the tile or anything else found in my garage. Here is a pic of my installers installing the tile and one that I think shows off the floor quite nicely just after the cabinetry was installed ...
