Calling all Houston Exotic Car Owners and Auto Enthusiasts!! We are happy to announce our fifth Houston Exotic Car Happy Hour. Since everyone is in favor of the venue, we will keep it the same. It seems to be a great place with a nice outside patio and the parking lot is right there in full view. They also serve food. We have had some people ask about moving the time back, so we are going to start it at 6pm this time, although some of us will be there earlier. The weather should be nice for the patio this time. Location: Pub Fiction 2303 Smith St Houston, TX 77006 www.pubfiction.com Date: Friday, November 9th (if there is bad weather, we will reschedule) Time: 6PM until ? Cost: Since reserved parking space is limited, all that is being asked is to take care of the valets. You drive your own car of course. The valets will simply assist in guiding you to the right spot. I believe the valet is only $6 (tipping is optional). DO NOT LET THEM CHARGE YOU ANYMORE THAN $6 To track the attendance, I am putting up a poll this time. So block off the date in your calendar! Sound's very doable for me but I'm only 75% sure at the moment. If I do make it I will try to get there early so I can park my 4Runner in a corner so I dont block the "real" car's LOL!
I'm going to say I'm gonna make it, but I'm a 75 percenter too. I'm going out of town the following week and may have a lot of loose ends to tie up. I hope I can make it this time. I had a blast at the first one and it's seemed to have just gotten better each time since.

I was thinking about getting a Larini exhaust. I heard one it sounds mean. Not sure though...may leave it alone for a while. After spending the money to get the car, I may need to buy the wife a little somethin', somethin'.
Congratulations Ro! Glad you finally found what you're looking for. Can't wait to check it out. Screw exhaust, run straight pipes. I voted on the fence. I'm 90% going to be there, but may not be able to make it. I plan to at least stop by for a short bit to say hi.
well looks like my search continues... i'm so pi$$ed off. The seller sold it right from under me when I already had all my paperwork and funds ready to transfer. I guess he was really itching to sell to someone local. ...search continues. I guess that car wasn't meant to be. I know I'll find something better.
dont worry ro you'll find something better, that gallardo lacked one of my favorite features on a gallardo, the transparent engine cover, there are many gallardos out there

No it is a different (and better) car. Loaded with options and aftermarket add-on that I would have done myself. I can't wait to post it.

My guess is it's getting close to year end, so a lot people could be swamped with work. I know my dad use to be working a lot of late hours around this time of year.
I can't make it for a variety reasons. I have lot of stuff lined up on the weekends and to be honest, I have done too many Ferrari meetings this year (FCA + Fchat) and I am a bit bored of sitting around and chatting. I am also getting bored of taking car pictures. To recuperate, I need to drive my car in the backroads a lot more now that it has finally cooled down. Yeah that is what the doctor has ordered. I'll see you guys in a Happy Hour sometime in 2008.
