There are already 6 (six!) unauthorized biographies of his career coming onto the market right now, so I can understand his desire to cash in on this by adding a 7th.

As most authorized biographies, this one will probably be a lot less interesting than an unauthorized one.

OJ - "If I did it"

Hamilton - "If I won it"

WTF, it is to be released Nov 5??????? I thought he was the focus master on his driving - who could have time to ghost a book?

Lovely self-serving rhetoric on FA, as well - if you read the quotes in the link.

The problem of all authorized biographies and the reason why I don't want to read them.

Gotta love Kimi even more now. Can dress like an ape and have fun and doesnt take all this, my life, my achievements crap so seriously like Lewis. Im so bored of his double talk and whining about his poor status now in life. Oh LH fame is just a *****! Without the benefit of having to struggle in a lesser car for at least 1 season, the golden boy as I have stated before is more lucky this year than good. Its good he fought and outpaced Alonso at times. Great. Tell me who won the WDC???????????????????????????????????????

In any other car he is happy to tell ITV he got out of Q3 and into Q2 and his team is really working hard. Dude, shut up, go away, you didnt win the WDC, you choked it dead! STEP AWAY FROM THE LIMELIGHT AND GET A CLUE. Quit hogging it with nothing to say. Frankly the press is as much to blame for broadcasting his lame insights and stupid speeches.

He reminds me of Vanilla Ice and his one album wonder, lame movie and then the quick bio. He needs to shut up and class it up and actually do something like win a couple WDC's before the world needs his story in print on his struggle to deal with fame etc. His move to Switzerland cant come soon enough. Maybe then he will just go away until next year.

Oh sure...just about anyone could outdrive the defending two-time WDC in equal machinery. What's the big deal in that?? It has to be luck, what else could it be? Anyone can outdrive a 2X WDC over the course of a 17 race season...

When did Schumacher's first biography come out? When did he move to a tax haven? My guess is probably right around the same point in his career that Hamilton is at now. Where you just as upset then?

I think his first biography (luckily unauthorized) came out after his first title win. So he had a couple of years of F1 already in the bank. But the folks criticizing LH for the book are missing the point, that this is not so much a representation of where he thinks he stands in life, but rather feeding a demand from the market. He is a hot commodity now, so sell the book now. What if the McLaren 08 sucks and he has a dismal year? Nobody will want his biography then.

I'm not sure MS ever lived in Monaco. I believe he did briefly and realized it wasn't for him. His long term tax heaven in Switzerland came a lot later, I believe that sorta coincided with his Ferrari years.

He did live in Monaco for a short while but I think he didn't care for it.

And in that case, we could say he may have "taken another page" from Ferrari - "supply and demand"?

This is just TOO funny, I could swear that this thread is about Lewis Hamilton and not about the 7xWDC, Michael Schumacher. But somehow, and for whatever reason, Michael Schumacher is "THE DEVIL" again.

Senna(4 less than Schumacher)3xWC, I am just poking fun at you, so please don't take it too personal, okay? :)
Have a safe and happy Halloween!

I couldn't help but recall that Senna died in his prime and, had he not, Schumacher would absolutely not have won 7 WDCs nor 91 GPs.

As for raising Schumacher's name in this discussion, I was simply drawing parallels to his early career and questioning whther folks here were similarly upset with him as they seem to be with Lewis.

I think here you presume a little too much. Part of winning the seven is, in fact, surviving the seven.

If Jimmy Clark had survived more than two, perhaps he would have been the first to surpass Fangio.

Not sure I would state that Senna was in his prime. He was getting up there in the years. His career was somewhat parallel to Prost's and Prost called it quits. Senna would have undoubtedly challenged MS for the 94 and 95 championships. But he would have been retired by the time MS started winning championships in the Ferrari.

A lot of coulda, wouldas, but I'd say you can't take more than 2 WDCs away from MS at best. Which of course would have put Senna and MS at equal footing of 5 WDCs. Which in return might have been enough motivation for MS to continue driving in 07 and clinch the all dominating 6th title. The permutations are endles...

Or Senna might have made the move to Ferrari, sealing off Schumacher. Senna stated many times that he would like to finish his career in the Ferrari.

Of course, this is an endless debate. My point is that for those folks who like to point to Schumacher's statistics in any discussion over Senna v. Schumacher, I would point out that most of those victories occured after Senna's death and had Senna not died, who knows what kind of records he would have set and how many of Schumacher's victories would not have occured?

We don't know but it would be very difficult to assume that his numbers would be the same.

*L* I am not going to get into this again, it will only get ugly.

With all due respect, Hamilton is not Schumacher and never will be, regardless if he wins zero title or wins 11 titles. Just like Schumacher is Schumacher, he is not Senna, Prost or Clark. All of their careers took different paths and in were drivers of different eras, the only true parallel here is that they are/were all F1 drivers. IMO, you can only compare Prost and Senna since they are drivers of the same F1 era.

Speculation and assumption are not reality. Same can be said about Fangio, had he started his racing career earlier or Clark or G. Villenuve, had they lived or you can even say that Schumacher could have been 8xWC had he not suffered the broken leg in 1999, which would make Mika an 1xWC instead a 2xWC, had that happened, would people still consider Mika to be as good today had he only have 1 title. Like you said, this will turn into nothing but an endless and IMO, a pointless debate.

And for the record, I didn't bring Schumacher into this thread, you did. :)

I said that Hamilton would be the next great driver of his generation, as Schumacher was with his, and Senna before him.

I am not the only one who believes this, plenty of F1 insiders are saying the exact same thing.

I remember reading that one of the unauthorized biographies already declared him the youngest F1 champion of all times, in big letters on the cover... the book can be bought pretty cheap now ;)

I think the game is call, "How to lose a Championship" by EA Sport :)

While I understand the $$ reasons behind it, as Tifosi12 had pointed out, but I still think it is a little too early to be marketing himself as if he is already a F1 Champion.
