Same chassis, but new engine, new gearbox, new brakes, new suspension, new aero, new mirrors, new paint-job. 860bhp........
holy moly , it sounds like its going to transform an already great car into a bigger and better FXX !!!!! wow thats what i call an upgrade.......
If you opt for the evo package, do you have to have a new paint job? Does it have to be with all the white trim?
Hi, does someone know which one is that FXX number 29 ? I shooted it last week in the "salon de l'automobile" in Lyon (France) http://imolaf1.free.fr/FXX/DSCF3771.JPG http://imolaf1.free.fr/FXX/P1030021.JPG
no 29 is also new to me. anyways i spotted one more new racing number - no 35. does anybody now s/n, assembly no., location and owner? also i lack assembly numbers of those cars: 142163 145749 145761 145764 146355 146357 146360 149546 thanks for advance to people who can help me Image Unavailable, Please Login
HELP! RTB, I would like you to help me out. Im not completely firmiliar with the functions of all the knobs and buttons inside the FXX cockpit. Could you edit an interior photo as to point out which does what? This would be very helpful. Thanks, Best, Jon
The most important button is to the far right......... When pressed, it will unleash a sound and feeling like no other! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very few buttons to have to worry about! Steering wheel - standard Enzo stuff that we don't really use, apart from for scrolling through the dashboard menus. Down-shift paddle and up-shift paddle. Steering column stalks - lights, wipers as per Enzo. Centre console - aero knob (Automatic or settings 1 to 3 for low to high downforce), electric on/off switch, starter button, red fire extinguisher button, main electrical cut off toggle, and on the centre tunnel the extinguisher system control box. Is that enough information??
Your picture shows "F" for fault with the aero system - we've been working on different versions of the system since the start of the programme. All will be improved with the Evo upgrade!
Fantastic stuff RTB! Have Ferrari considered making the engine cover a single carbon-fibre piece, rather than carbon, and glass/plastic as on the Enzo and normal FXX? Is there any concern over chassis rigidity since the FXX's have been driven so hard, and now with so many major components being replaced? Thanks!
Just for fun, a " what if " scheme for RTB's Evo - F430 Scuderia-like stripes - White cameras - White "FXX" on noze - And of course, wheel stripe in blue !! http://www.dextermodels.com/FM/FXX%20Evo%20RTB.jpg
Single carbonfibre engine cover would be lighter, like the MC12, but not as pretty - you have to remember that this is a roadcar development programme, not racecar development. As for the tub, the highest mileage FXX has around 4500km of track driving. There are no concerns over rigidity with such low mileage - MC12s are running 750km per race weekend for a whole season plus the 4000km at Spa 24!
