I would love to see the exhausts come out the rear valence like the Scuderia, thats a nice touch.

Just recieved information from my dealer that "F142" will be lauched next September, during Paris auto show or during Detroit auto show in January 2009. It will be ALL NEW model, equipped with all possible F1 technologies and direct-injection V8, which probably will be about 5 litres and will produce about 570-590 HP. Car will be even a little bit lighter that 430 Scuderia. During 2009 "F142" Spider will be launched. Basic price for next Berlinetta will be about 430 Scuderia basic price or a little bit higher. That is information I have at this moment. I hope it is usefull information. Best.

I've lost track of the pseudo-secret platform designations, but isn't the F142 likely the front engine 8-cylinder car being built at the ex-Maserati facility in Modena? I suspect that your information is correct, except that it may not be the F430 replacement....just a guess.

    Cheers!

I can feel the excitement building! I'm so glad the world has awsome exotics to choose from. IMO it keeps the heat on the various manufacturers to keep upping the bar height!

Ferrari will not leave the biggest market, I mean US, without the most popular model - F430. The will be no sales of F430 since late 2008 and F430 replacement will vome till that time. Just look back to 360 Berlinetta/Spider five years life cycle, situation with F430 and its replacement will be aproximatly the same. Launch or during Paris auto show next September or during Detroit auto show in January 2009. Sales will start in 2009, Spider will follow year later. That is confirmed by my dealer. Best.

I asked my (US)dealer, someone who has been forthright and honest in the past I provide verbatim response below

"hey Bob, hope all is well...I have not heard anything about this...we are focusing on launching the Scuderia and then a smaller, "less expensive" car...I don't think the 430 will see a replacement until 2010/2011...will keep you in the loop...thanks, (name omitted)"
