Hemmings Motor News - Mike McNessor - has a short color article on Miura prices, cover splash, color index header picture, color article photo, and a color graph for prices. Pretty much nicely quotes Joe for all the article. Dont recognize the red/tan SV in the photo. Not the best angle photo for this particular Miura SV, but those who know will understand the "bulls horn" doors. The price graph ought to be good for endless critique. Good job Joe, magazine articles on Miura are always a pleasure to see. Craig
I think the red/tan SV is Bill Rice's car that was at Concorso this year. I will have to read the article myself (I havent had the opportunity yet) to make sure I wasnt mis-quoted! Joe www.joesackey.com
Is he still selling it? He contacts me from time-to-time thinking about it, but I suppose he loves it too much (cant blame him!) Joe www.joesackey.com
The car is quite bad on its rear suspension. Also the drive-shafts have their "own life"! The feeling of driving this car remainds me somewhat of the Mercedes SL Gullwing - but this was a 50ies cars. So, the Mangusta forward a real "...urgh"-feeling while driving fast and hard cornering. Not a car for me! Ciao! Walter
Nobody complaines about the greorgeous looks of the Mangusta. It is -same as with the LP 400- the best design of the series and much better than the later design-versions called "Pantera". Ciao! Walter
Thanks for affirming that my thoughts were indeed correct, as Ive heard from several other experienced drivers that have a good "feel" for sports cars. With your racing background, your input is much appreciated. Joe www.joesackey.com
That black Miura SV is one of just eight single-sump USA spec SVs manufactured by Lamborghini. Rarissimma! Its in good company... Joe www.joesackey.com Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

well since both you guys (+ at least other 2-3 guys i have talk that drove one...) really hate the way it drives, i will promise if i'd ever buy one to put it in the living room and just look at it
Emilio, you have pics of that blue restored P400 that was at the recent meet you attended? Joe www.joesackey.com
Emilio, Can you get me a number plate frame from Italy? See the square one around the Milano or Bologna plates.... e-mail me your response if necc. Joe www.joesackey.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
After the original CN12 units, Lamborghini collaborated with Pirelli again and the results were the P7 in 255 series profile launched in the late 70s. These tires are higher speed-rated, and are very rare. Excellent if youre really going to drive the SV. I just came across a pristine set and they went on my tire rack.... just wanted to share how the pursuit collecting things is wasting a lot of my time and fast becoming a sickness! LOL.
