I know this dealer. They are around the corner from one of our regional offices. Most ot their inventory is average quality - a lot of it is consignment. I stop in every time I am out there.

i'm not a pantera expert, but is this a little high? at least it's ready for the upcoming summer.

 

I agree, a little high in asking price. However, some Panteras are worth much more than others depending on condition.

Also, the key issue with Panteras is a detailed PPI from an expert in that car brand. My understanding is that frame rust can be a deal killer. Supposedly, all Panteras have a design flaw where water is allowed to get into the vertical frame post in front of the door hinges and have no way to drain out. So, structural frame rust can result if the car was stored outside or driven in the rain.

I've always lusted after the Pantera. A perfect blend of American muscle 351 engine and Italian styling.
I like mine completely stock, even the wheels. No wheel flares, areo kits, wings, or custom wheels for me.
Strangely enough, my favorite Pantera color is white. Not just any white, but that super shiny shade of white you see on expensive sports cars.

I've always wanted one that is the same color as the Laguna Seca blue that was used on the 02-03 M3s... A pre-L '71 or '72. I saw one 30 or so years ago at a Lincoln-Mercury dealership in VA.... it left an impression you could say

Okay, not fair, I've admitted my weak spot for Panteras and you're tempting me with what I crave.

In my home town, when I was a young teenager, one of the more successful businessmen in town bought a new shiny white Pantera from the local Ford/Mercury dealer. Every time I saw it go bye on the road, I think my heart skipped a beat.

I could be mistaken but I thought the owner of that car said something about selling it a while back..... You should make your way up to the holy donut one day in the off season to check it out... he goes there alot.
