    Bonjour et bienvenue, Philippe.
Fantastiques photos. Mille mercis de nous en faire profiter.
Pourrais-tu les poster aussi sur le forum suivant, consacré principalement aux Daytona vues au Mans, stp?

Unfortunately, I Have no other photo like these. I was young in 1973 and I took only few photos during the test days.

I came across this one of Willy Maireese in 1960. I don't recognize the stripe across the nose? There is also a photo of Dan Gurney in a Ferrari but the results say he drove a BRM that weekend?

    David-

Can you post the photo of Gurney to clarify which race? He drove 4 Grands Prix in 1959 for Ferrari:

7/5/59 GP France at Rheims #28
8/3/59 GP Germany at Avus #6
8/22/59 GP Portugal at Monsanto (Lisbon) #16
9/13/59 GP Italy at Monza #36

He did drive for BRM in 1960.

Thank you for your new fantastic photo, David. I think the stripes are the colours of Belgium : red, yellow and black.

Yes, that's the 1959 car - you can just see that the carburettors are angled because of the skewed engine to pass the driveshaft to the drivers left, whereas 1960 cars look very similar from many angles but have the engine angled the other way.

From the markings on the road for a Le Mans-type start, it must be Reims.

My guess is 1972 Le Mans as follows:

    #38 - 13141 - Westbury-Hine
    #57 - 14141 - Chinetti Jr - Masten Gregory
#74 - 15685 - Posey - Adamowicz (this is just a guess based upon decal placement and position with the two other NART entries)

As always, great photo David, please keep them coming.

Ok let's see how much we can sort out here. The fellow in the tweed jacket and grey hair is John Bauce. The gold Goodyear driving suit is Coco Chinetti. Sam Posey has his signature helmet on with the red stripe. I am guessing the woman with the blue sweater is Mrs. Black, Sam's mother. Walne Sparling is leaning on the rear of the 57 car with Dick Fritz in the yellow jacket on the other side of the car. Is that Adamowisz next to the camera man? Quite a crowd.

Thank you for the beautifull Daytona photos.
    Dino 246 n°22 is Willy Mairesse at Spa-francorchamps, June 19, 1960.
The photo with Dan Gurney is from 1959.

Thank you very much, David. Great photo as usual !
I'll post others photos now and then when I'll have enough time to do it. I have also pics of Formula 1 (Monaco 79) and of Le Mans (Ferrari 512 BB, 333 SP and so on...).
