GT4 Newbie and 1st Question - seat runner - correct group now !!

    I really must pay more attention - I see the GT4 bit in the Model Specific Discussions and just click on it ....... Then I notice the 365 etc - DOH!

    Anyway, I did post in that section and obviously was in the wrong section, so herewith my first question to the right group!

    I have recently bought my 308-GT4 and want to iron out a few things that really annoy me - the first is the drivers seat adjuster - which decides to disengage just at the wrong moment, throwing the seat back and thus my clutch leg and thus a violent leap forward !!!

    Does anyone know if this runner / adjuster was used on any other car? Can't seem to find and cross-reference to it.

    Not sure if its the same, but I have 308 GTB and experienced the same thing. Sometimes when I took off the seat would go backwards.

    Easy ro fix. Pull the seat out and I gaurentee the spring has let go on the latch that locks the seat in place.

    Hello Matt. Great car buddy.... you bought it of a guy called Frank in North London??? IIRC, he's a bodyshop owner and restored it very well a number of years back.

    The seat runners on my GT4 are fine, just watch that the allen keys that hold them in place don't work loose as the seat will flop all over the place.

    Frank indeed! The bodywork is still superb - I don't think he really used it very much. There was definitely a drepressed look in his eye when I drove off!
    I will try and get the seat out next weekend and have a good look at the runner - from under teh seat it looks as is the 'cam' is on the wrong side of the rail....

    That's the one. Think he did very few miles in it, loved it though.

    Hi Matt. As you are in the UK try this company. I use them a bit.

    They have a lot of parts for 308's and I am sure in their old catalogue they had runners. I can't seem to find them in the new latout they have. You are in the same time zone so you can call them and if they can't help you, I am sure they will point you in the right direction.
