    Dear all,

I received a request from Rod Grainger, the publisher of Veloce, who is currently preparing a Dino-Book by Brian Long and Jeff Allison, whom Rod addressed first, recommended Denny Schue’s Dino Register. I assume, Denny would have been happy to help. Unfortunately, Denny passed away before handing over copies of what ever he had beside the pure Register.

So I am asking all of you to kindly have a look on the “wish-list” by Rod. Some of the items requested are in my personal files and will be made available to Rod. If you can provide some of the requested, please contact me, so I can give you Rod’s coordinates.

Here’s some specification of the quality, Rod requires:
“We can scan original prints, line art, transparencies and printed material (eg: brochures, ads). Digital material needs to be high res 300x300dpi for every square inch of size when printed in the book. Anything under 7mb is unlikely to be of use. Ideally, pictured cars will be very original, but they can be owner's cars present or historical. Motorsport models and race pictures (past and present) also useful… … We will need to know exactly what every image shows. Payment is unlikely except for images we have to source from professional libraries, however we are happy to acknowledge the source of every image we use in the finished book.”

    Best Regards

    Matthias,

I recently had photos taken my Dino ('71 S/N 01296) by Patrick Ernzen. I would like to contribute some of his spectacular work to this book. I posted a few samples on this forum http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=170805

let me know if you are interested.

    Mattias:

I have this image (recently taken by me) of our '73 GTS S/N 07412. Not sure whether it is usable (high-res version is 4MB jpeg), but I thought I'd throw it out there. It's one-owner car and the paint (Verde Germoglio) is original, and almost unique.

    Dan,

I'm sure they would like to have it and 4 mb is in every kind big enough. Thank you! Please email it to [email protected]. I will then send it over to Rod.

I always have to think of your car when I meet with Matthias Bartz, who owns a Dino in Verde Germoglio as well.

I have a rare chairs and flares Rh drive dino. This is not a very good shot of the car as i was fiddling with my new camera at the time. When i get some decent weather here i will get a better backdrop to the car.

Interested let me know as it may be a worthwhile addition to the book of the options offered by the factory in the 246Gt range?

    Cheers

    Tony,

I think we can it offer to Rod and let him decide. Please mail it to me privately if it is Hi-Res under [email protected]. Rod needs the Serial Number as well (I can, if already registered) add details like model-year or country.

    Best Regards

I have it on order through Motorbooks Int'l. Publication date was originally shown as sometime in the early summer of this year, then moved to November. I just got a card in the mail from Motorbooks saying that the date is now next June, and that I needed to respond if I didn't want them to cancel my order (which I did, they don't bill my Amex until it ships). It'll be worth the wait if the photo of my car made the cut!
