I just bought an RTI system. It's nice, but the vendor insists that he set it it. It takes a proprietory software, (theatertouch), and I wasn't supplied a copy. Any pro's here know where I can get one?
    Thanks.

Doesn't look like they sell directly to the public. This protects their integrators and allows them to make a bit more too. Not necessarily a bad thing for this niche market.

Sure, I'd guessed this, but I HATE it. I'm not against paying for the program, but if I get a new component I'd like to add, or a function I'd like to change, or a macro I 'd like to activate, I can't. I have to call a pro, and schedule an appointment. Who really has time for that?
I need my own copy of the software, anyone have one?
    Thanks.

Haven't used RTI myself although I got offered dealership in New Zealand when I had my old business, but here is a website link that might help:

    http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/files/rcfiles.cgi?area=t2

There is also a whole section on RTI questions that custom installers and users ask. You could start a thread there if you can't find what you need:

    http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/mboard/rc-touch/list.cgi

Note: before you do any software uploads to the remote, please back-up the existing programming on your remote by downloading it to your computer and saving it using the configuration program. Then you can access your original settings and put them back on the remote if you really have to. This could save you a call-out fee from the custom installer if something goes wrong with your edits.
