Options list for the 355?

Yeah I want to know what this is too !!! Maybe daniel from ricambi can chime in....?

 

I'd like to have this for the 348 as well. I'm curious to know if my car was configured with any available options or not. I bought a brochure from ebay that supposedly had the option list, but it turned out to be a fake

 

Options for 348:
1. Testosterone
2. Gold chains
3. Perma-grin
4. Stabilant-22a, in 55-gallon drums


Options for 355:
1. Hairspray
2. Heels
3. Convex rearview mirror for looking back at 348's
4. Towing hook

 

You forgot the fifth option for each model...

I agree... the 348 came with optional 'Testosterone' because most 348 owners needed it !!!!!

The 355 had the convex rear mirror to see 348s quickly disappear behind them into the distance !!

I'm trying to determine if the speakers that are in the 96 355 I just bought are a real factory option.

The speakers are in separate enclosures mounted behind each headrest. The enclosure and grills match the interior color perfectly.

I was told (LOL) that they were a factory option but have never seen these in a 355 before.

If I were a betting man-I would say that was never an option---It is aftermarket. The stereos were put in after getting here by Ferrari NA--not from the factory...

 

So what does that mean? Are they a "real Ferrari" item or not?

I suppose I'll never know!

For most of the years the 355 was made, I think Ferrari NA had a deal with Sony, later on with Becker to supply radios. I know during the time period Lambo was using Alpine. I have seen many cars outside the US with many different stereos and some with none. I was always told the cars did not have stereos when they left the factory headed towards the US. There were installed at dealers when they got to the states with usually the Sony/CD changer setup.....That is just what I was told. Maybe someone who worked for a dealer back then can shed some light on this....But regardless I can't imagine that Ferrari NA put some speakers in enclosures behind the seats...

Not. It is VERY unlikely that what you have was a factory option. I have NEVER heard or seen of such a thing on ANY Ferrari. It is most likely installed by a high end audio retailer. Those guys are very, very good these days at matching interior materials.

 

I tend to agree with that since this is the first time I have seen speakers like this in any F car.

Head unit is definitely not stock.

 

So no word on 'actual' options ??
