Men thinking that Ferraris attract women is like women thinking their new Manolo's would attract men. If you got game, the Ferrari is just the icing on the cake. However people who own Ferraris tend to be successful, thus more confident and that is what attracts women.

However if I had to pick a "chick magnet" car...

Any Hummer (the guy is a "big shot")
Mini/500/Bug (cute and non-threatening, also the guy must be really sure of himself to drive that.)
Sl500 (even non car chicks know this car and love it.) Probably the best combination of flashy/stylish and is a potential convertible to boot (potential because even though chicks dig convertibles, they almost NEVER drive with the roof down, don't want to ruin the hairstyle.

If I had to pick a "guy magnet" shoes...

ANY high heels

BEST chick magnet is a small cute animal. If you can take care of a little dog, you can take care of kids and ALL chicks immidiately want you to fertiliza their eggs.
Also, a very nice apartment works on the same principle. If you have a nice nest, the female will offer her eggs to you.

It's funny, not a single mention in this thread of the overlooked Boxster as the chick-magnet sports car. It falls under "cute" and "sporty", which girls love, while having that certain crest on the hood that says "I may be able to afford something about you". The unassuming cuteness works like the puppy-dog in your arms, but is more fun for you than a Mini. It's not the really expensive P-car that says "I'm a prikk, but I'll spend oodles of $$$$ on you. And I'll still be a prikk, but you'll like the benefits package".

The other overlooked car is actually a type - the WAGON. Yup, for some reason, a wagon conjures up thoughts of "He's ready to settle down, and there's already room for a couple of baby seats!!!!!!" My reasoning that mine holds my bikes falls on deaf ears, and I don't even bother mentioning that it's got a nice, honkin' V8 up front - they wouldn't care anyway.

If your butt ugly and drive a Ferrari, its still going to be extremely hard, if youre decent looking, confident and easy going, a Ferrari makes it so much easier.

I can't imagine wich way you can use a car as a "chick magnet". When I'm driving, I'm driving and I've never seen a group of girls around a parked car waiting for the owner. I've met women in libaries, bars, supermarkets, discos, but never while driving. And I don't think I'd like to.
If you want to attract women, you just need to be self-confident. That's the only proven way. Even if you're ugly and drive a Yugo.

Really what it comes down to is, and I could be wrong seeing as I am not yet an owner, do you really want a chick that is only interested in ½ of everything you own. When I was in high school I had a 400 horse power jute box on wheels made of pure raw all American Detroit iron. While this car did in fact “attract the females” I realized this and therefore “played” with them but never serious thought about bring one home to mom. If your goal is to pick up chicks and a Ferrari is the toy you use to do it, you are playing in a league way above mine.

 

Most definitely, an F-car helps you with the women.

It is not just whim that most men like youth, nice shape, trim weight, etc in women. And it is not just whim that most women are attracted to alpha males, high status, good providers, etc. That's biology.

Women dye their hair blond to signal youth (or dye away the gray). Men wear nice clothes or spend lots of money very visably to signal their status.

Since I am not very alpha in attitude I spent many years being ignored by women (after college which is more egalitarian). I could go into a bank and the girl behind the counter would basically transact business as if I did not exist. When I bought my F-car I went to the bank for a certified check and the clerk was flirting with me. She bantered "I don't even know how Ferrari is spelled". I said to myself, "this is something different".

One of my friends, a doctor, told me I was a fool for buying a Ferrari. Easy for him to say. He worked in a hospital where everyone knows who the doctors are, the doctors are like god in their domain and can order anything, everyone assumes the doctors make a lot of money. He said nurses would put naughty notes in his mailbox. Excuse me, girls started chasing him after he completed surgical training and not because he became charming. Before he got into medical school, he was a nerd and ignored.

I took my F-car to the track. The car definitely looked nice in the sun with numbers on the side and I was thrilled to drive so fast. A women driving instructor who looked quite hot struck up a conversation with me. Again, I said to myself, "this is something different". Hot women usually do not have the time of day for someone twenty years older with a wedding ring on.

If you are in a market, be it the selling your car market or the dating market, you should try to understand what your potential customer wants. There is no shame in advertising the qualities the potential customer desires.

My law school roomate, a pre-med, drove a very sad Ford his parents gave to him. I joked, you will never get a girl with that car (I had a Rabbit badly damaged with repair money going to tuition). He said "the kind of girl I want will not be interested in my car but my character". I thought, but did not say, you want a girl who is physically attractive, a fat tub with bad teeth no matter what her character will be uinsatisfactory to you, so cut her a little slack if she also has preferences dictacted by biology and unless you are willing to resist your preference for a hot body she should be able to indulge her preference for a good provider.

Very attactive women have so many guys after them their heads are spinning, this is why women can be so cold and cruel to guys trying to pick them up they are bombarded by it, their is nothing wrong with standing out in a crowd by driving a nice Ferrari, another thing guys get all tripped up on performance stats of the cars, again women especially hot ones could care less about magazine racing or even speed but they are very brand savvy, do they want to ride in a zo6 that will stomp most classic F cars or be in a status symbol car and believe me they are very competitive with other females and they love showing off something their competition doesn't have

I travelled worldwide and can say we have some pretty hot women in Italy (I am originally from Sydney) they are stuck up like no other women in the world.
But owning a Ferrari makes you a type of man that knows what he wants type of man.Girls are affraid you will use them,cause they think all girls are after you,so you don't end up picking up with a Ferrari either.But you are highly respected by everyone,cause most people think you need more than cash to own a Ferrari.You are a person that gets what they want ,and the women stare at you ,and you stand out and all! But I think you stand out not cause you seem rich,or cause you drive a Ferrari,but because you had the guts to be different to the other rich people and bought what you wanted.You are the person that owns a car to go from point A to point B in style but don't really need one ,but must have one.

we should get 355 dreamer in here to tell you about getting chicks with a 355. i've never seen anything like it. He literally had to beat this girl off with a stick. I was having dinner with richard from competizione. we parked our ferraris up the street from the restaurant. later, parking eased up so i went up and moved them in front of the restaurant where we could keep an eye on them. our bartender literally zipped her shirt down so we could see more cleavage as soon as she saw me pull them up. she had been talking to us for about an hour before. it's also easy to get hot chicks to let you take pics of them on or in your ferrari. i have many to prove it. I'm married so i don't "get" chicks with my car. but i bet i could. another good story. i used to have this hot french neighbor across the street. i took her for a ride when i got the car. i got it up to about 100 on the surface roads and she said "i feel like a teenager". i said " i've always wanted to be driving around with a french teenager". also, the girls in montreal love ferraris. they literally will chase you down the road at the grand prix weekend. I could go on and on. so all you naysayers must not be trying very hard.

 

OK I've read the whole thread. The deal is.......most guys that own Ferrari's are down to earth and married and date women that are normal. They aren't looking to stand out with a trophy wife although they might have found one with a beautiful heart. Most Ferrari guys marry well but they don't in general look for superficial types. There are not a lot of women who know what a Ferrari is and like another said want to know if it is a corvette. I'm not putting down the wonderful wifes and girl friends of guys I know. There is more to life than a pretty face. I think it is the friendship that keeps people together and mutual admiration. It's hard to be a success when you are worrying about who you wife is flirting with. I like pretty women as much as the next guy and when I got married I looked for a down to earth girl. She is also very pretty. I kind of lucked out.

 

the simple answer is yes a ferrari will help you get a girl, but since most ferrari owners are 40+ and taken, they dont know it

Its no lie, when my parents go out of town I go over to take care of their 2 dachshunds. I walk those little things around the park and I meet many a woman. No car no nothing, as for the SL500 being a chick magnet, I have an SL55 and I took this girl out last year and she said, " I love the kompressors Im thinking of buying one soon, my sister has one!!!" she meant a c240 kompressor...Girls don't know models my friends, they know the hood emblem.

True, I was on a big outing to Mugello recently and of the almost 90 couples that were there only one woman was "hot", an 18 year old Ukranian tenager (Paris hilton style, blond with a small Chihuahua, the little fella almost passed out at the track, due to dozens of screaming engines.) and her 40/50 year old "boyfriend" Italian style, expensive shirt, nice shoes the works. The rest were women you wouldn't look at twice on the street, not even once. If it were Russia, it would be like the Milan and Paris fashion weeks combined. I think in countries with more established wealth, Ferraris would get you jack all. Now try going to say.... Odessa (Ukraine) with your 430 'vert. You would get more model p***y in a week then Timberlake or diCaprio in a good year.

 

If you know "the game" then you dont need any gimmick or a fancy F car to attract women. I swear by this.

I just bought my first car over 1.5 years ago, it aint an F car, its a Nissan Skyline, cheap, fast and sexy (to me).

Anyway, a guy with a good game to attract women will do WAY better at laying quality women than most guys who have average game but own a Ferrari/Lambo. Guys who rely on their materialistic crap, end up baiting gold diggers or worse still, spend half of their lives in courts trying to stop all the gold digging biatches from taking their money.

Sure F car owners will get more looks from women on the street and have more convos struck up but if they are socially inept and use the F car as the crutch then nothing good can come out of it down the track.
