"a unique oasis of discovery, hospitality and beauty that captures culture, flavour and the true spirit of Italian country [...]"

Yessss, the true spirit of Italy in the middle of the Abu Dhabi desert :D

I truly don't understand what Ferrari is doing.... this and now the threat of building an SUV..... !?! Isn't visiting Maranello enough of the Ferrari experience?.... don't know how you could top that.

Ferrari is milking short term returns at the expense of a hallowed history. Bit by bit they are destroying their brand

I don't dissaprove of the idea, except, why in the :bleeping: world would they put it there? I don't care who owns 1/1000000 of a company!

One would have thought Ferrari them self would have had some thing similar in Italy. Mind you the Abu Dhabi has the ready cash flow. The rest of the developed world is spending money on killing people in wars:(. But I would go to the theme park there if i had a few $1000 spare:)

Why the middel east? Why not in the country where most of their cars are sold?

Is this just a pile of "politically correctness" bull**** exhibited by Ferrari? Will they also be producing a hybrid or a diesel anytime soon?

The UAE is perhaps the best possible place for such a creation.

What all the money there often buys is the best international consultants/designers/architects/management teams. Judging from how good most of the huge and amazing developments are in the UAE (esp in Dubai), they have the money and likely the will to do it right.

Think of what it would turn out like if it was in this country - imagine it in Las Vegas.

It's cheapening the brand. Reminds me of Krusty the Clown and his merchandising. What's next, Ferrari Q-tips? Ferrari brand breath mints? It takes away the mystique.

It will be linked with a new F1 track. Very cool idea and all the more reason to go there for a trip.

Adnaan is right... Abu Dhabi (and I've been there many, many times) is very different than Saudi (which I have also been to many, many times)...in fact, except for Yemen, the other gulf countries: Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, the rest of the UAE, and Kuwait are all very different than Saudi. IMHO Saudi SUX. But, I don't live there, don't have to, and don't intend to visit again unless business demands it.
