What beautiful work you do Alan Guerzoni, and what a wonderful thread.
Being that i can not find many if any pictures of the no11 Posey/Bucknum 1970 Le mans Team NART 512s. I hope you don't mind but i am using your detailed drawings of engine bay layout and rivet placement etc, to help me build this large 1/12 model of said NART no11:) Again very nice work and cant wait to see the finished picture/Art work.

    No problem Zero!

I'm glad you could use my renderings as reference, mostly because it's impossible to find good pictures about a coda lunga!

My 512s isn't, until now, a particular chassis number. It's officially the #1030, but ALL the details were modeled, and materials and colors were assigned by the way I found usable reference pictures of whatever 512s/m.

So if you're a "maniac of perfection" my 3d model is wrong in more than one detail, but if you're searching generic ones, mine is the better work no-one else do before! :D

    Alan

P.S.: anyone has good reference pictures about SEV Marchal headlamps mounted on 512s? I found only pictures about Carello ones!

    Hello Alan,
I can't find the words about your stunning work... It's beautifull. BRAVO!!!
Now, maybe you could do the same with 512s #1014, n°11 at Le Mans 1970, entered by the N.A.R.T...?

Yes, I planned to make this version.

Do you know what exactly are the difference between them? Only the side mirrors or other difference?

Yes, I see only minor differences like the mirrors, or the roof on n°11...

Alan, I follow your work since the beginning in the SMCars forum, and there is only one word which can describe what you've done: WOW. Incredibly accurate, incredibly detailed, and what a patience! One year! The best 3d model ever. You can be very proud of it!

    Very wonderful job Alan.

About 1014, the differences are the abscence of rear-view mirrors on the front wings and a bubble on the right side of the roof. I will wait you next work with impatience.

    Thanks to all!

    Specially to mr.Glickenhaus.

Did you remember, Jim? I talk to you about this my 3D model "work in progress" at Villa Erba during the "Concorso d'Eleganza". So, it was april, and my project was about 50% completed! Now, my project is quite completed, and It seems quite impossible. This is an year of my life spent to re-create a fantastic Le Mans Ferrari in the minimum detail. I didn't think that I was able to terminate it, but I do it. This is a special day in my life.

The car as soon as possible will be inserted on a race track, and she'll have some dirt and scratches!

For the moment, same poor studio scene, but car a bit too "opened"!

Have you ever done this kind of 3D modelling for computer games? I am doing a bit of beta testing for some guys building an R-Factor mod for the World Sportscar Championship 1970 and I bet they would kill for your help on the 3D models for the cars in game.... including the 512 Coda Lunga. The mod is pretty sweet, the 917K is my favorite so far.

My project is going on. But now I changed rendering engine (vray) and I placed my Ferrari on the 1970 Le mans track (wip images):

    Thanks in advance!

From one Alan to another... Great stuff, just love it. I must get that program and start fiddlin with it.

I too am an "artist" and just had to add one of my "werks" that relates to the 1970 Le Mans race and the 512 Ferrari. Michael Delany and Eric Stahler. :)

I call it "Winning Heritage." I did two versions. One with the original Gulf livery, and one with the DHL livery of today...
