This kind of thread title always brings the V1 guys out in full force. I've got a Passport and feel it really does the job.

The v1 looks impressive. I use to have a passport many moons ago, and it was good for the price. V1 according to their website will allow you to upgrade when new technology comes out, but everything involves a price. I plan to use it on several of my cars, does anyone find it more user friendly than other manufactors?

Another vote for the V1. Just remember a lot of cops are now using laser, which is not picked up by detectors so you may want to add a laser jammer.

I have one and my wife has one. I have the concealed display set up in my daily driver Honda and my wifes daily driver Expedition. I also move them from these vehicles to the 328 and TR when we are in those. The V1 is very user friendly with the arrows it has never let me down. I drive 67 miles each way to work on heavily patroled Interstate my wife drives 25 miles each way on the same heavily patroled interstate. Neither I nor wife drive with out the V1 in the car unless we are where they are illegal. FWIW everyone that I know that uses radar detectors has the V1, I had Passports and Escorts and went for years w/o any and then switched to V1 when I took a job 67 miles away. I don't have it with me while I am in Canada right now and feel naked driving w/o it.

    V1.

I have one hardwired in each of my cars. Just be sure to program it and turn off bands not in use in your area.

There is no laser radar gun. There is a radar gun and a lidar gun and they are completely different. Radar guns can be used while stationary or in motion in a police car. Lidar guns can only be used from a stationary position and can't be used in a moving vehicle.

The Valentine One detects all radar and lidar used by police.
