http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=166503 what happened to this guy? he has not commented in a while. did he get cold feet when he heard the critique from the f-chat masses? i'm sure many of us would not blame him for stepping away...fast!!! pcb
thats probley 98 % BS, but he does have alot of ferrari's etc... oh yeah and i would like to annouce that i just bought bugatti veyron!
When someone says something stupid then it doesn't matter, but when i say something stupid you reply. hhmmmmm...
By the way guys! I have an anouncement to make as well, Reventon 21 of 20 is mine! Wait... Will Hot Wheels make Reventon? I really want one to sit on my desk!
Yeah.....it means: " I know nuttin`an`looove gold hangin`aroun`my neck!" This is veeeeeeery simple! Ciao! Walter
Chaos, he loves that bloody thing (But: loving the Reventon means that he also likes Bagdhad in the snow!). Ciao! Walter
First I was going to say that we are slowly starting to go of topic with this conflicts between each other, but than I realised that there is not much to discus about this car. 90% agree that the car should never been produced or that it should at least cost half of asked amount. No reason for me to visit this thread again...
He could be doing two things! 1.) Sitting in his garage with a glass of wine and enyoing his new car, careless about what other say 2.) Too busy finding someone wgo will buy this car 200k off price What do you think ?
Oh yes I noticed that too. Jorge Wolf hasn't posted since he read all that hater stuff about his REVENTON Strange world is the internet: Wolf announced he's bought a Reventon and everyone bashed it while some other guy announces he's just bought a Gallardo with tinted/smoked real lights and everybody praised it. Help me understand. P.S. I'm really sorry for Wolf stepping away; he's the kind of member necessary in these forums.
you got IT right, I'm glad someone got my point Don't get me wrong; I'm the Biggest Miura fan I just criticize those guys who spend several posts about how expen$$$ive those vintage cars have become inflating the price everytime (trying to make a profit out of that hype) ; and bragg about their friends spending millions on other old cars rather tha new ones Now for those who try to miscredit REVENTON for being based on an existing model Wasn't the 250GTO based on another 250 series Ferrari at the time ? I'll repeat;: why is it that 99.9% of people complains about it's sticker price if they aren't buying it. As for comparing MIURA & REVENTON ...I'd like to get both parked next to each other
You really think somebody successful enough to afford that kind of toys... Will care about what others say ? Wolf : come back and let us know when Reventon deliveries will start.
i am sorry but i would never suggest anyone to buy one of those reventon because they will be a good investment while i could suggest some old cars, and even few new ones, for this reason 1- the 250 GTO paragon is .....not appropriate at very least 2- it is not enough to declare a car a "very special collectable" to make it a very special collectable (some cars are just for being special as new and some will become for different reasons in years ) 3- low production numbers and a good media exposure are not enough to make a car expensive or worth 1M 4- nobody can inflate prices of vintage cars posting on a forum (Joe, sorry you can not do it -YET- )
i did find it odd that w/ all of the recent discussion on the recent sightings as well as pro and con comments...he has not come in to visit any of the chat. i am not a fan of the car but i do look forward to hearing of the ownership experience. i hope he chimes in. more interesting would be to hear of what specific area he works in aerospace. that is a very broad business space and short of CEO's of the big companies...i am curious as to who is generating the big w-2 in the business space? pcb
im not quite sure what your getting at here ? yes the 250 gto was an evolution of the existing 250gt swb - however it wasnt just adding a bodykit, it was in fact quite different. unique chassis - reventon hasnt got this highly modified engine - reventon hasnt got this totally new body design - now whatever you say the Reventon hasnt got this new gearbox design - again not the same as a Reventon can you see the pattern forming here ??? and i'll repeat too; why is it that ppl like you feel that a fourfold price hike over a normal Murcielago LP640 is acceptable on a car thats only real differences is a bodykit, new rear lights and a trick dashboard cluster
not trying to have a go at anyone but my throughts are as a car, the reventon is quite unique, and i personally like the styling of the car. I agree that the car doesn't worth what it costs, but it does not justify bagging the car based on its price tag. If someone like it and they can afford it, then what's the problem with it? so please don't bag the car, blame lambo-audi for milking customers this way
I agree with you Martin, it is the same people over and over who bad mouth the Reventon and they have to insult people and cultures to get their petty points across, so if you don't like it I have 3 words for you "GET OVER IT!!!!!" all the people complaining do not have one on order and do not write for any magazines so their opinions are pretty much meaningless, like I said earlier time will tell how this car will do on re-sale, and EVERY magazine I have read has had nothing but good things to say about it.
December 2007 Motor Trend page 15: "Luc Donckerwolcke toed the company line at Franfurt when asked about the cartoonish rework of his stunning Lamborghini Murcielago, the Reventon. 'It's disturbing, but fascinating,' he said. Well, the first part of that statement is right." Does not sound all that good to me. I have seen other mags making a point of stressing that the Reventon only has 10hp more than the LP640 which costs only 1/3 as much. If it were my money (and unfortnately its not), I'd get the Pur Sang version of the Bugatti Veyron: the numbers are even more limited and from what I remember there is a fairly significant weight savings.
Should I buy one? Even if you could find one, though, there is no intrinsic justification for paying five times the price of the (already expensive) supercar on which its built. If arts your thing, though, and LP640s are just too thick on the ground where you live, go right ahead. I knew I wasn't alone ...Now I feel ease of mind these guys might be good at selling cars , but they fail at trying to sell their point of view and that doesn't necessarly mean we are buying their opinions as well ... even if they repeat their opinion several times they won't become true... It's pretty obvious every designer would feel the same about his creation, but then again He (Luc D.) should remember how badly his original design was a questionable one as a Diablo replacement back then ...and so on ...
