just joking, just be patient and ask about it, there are more cars out there in a similar situation, in the boxersection they talked about a similar case a few days ago. Barnfinds are most of the time known cars with known owners, who save them for retirement, sentimental or other reasons. We don't know the facts, an owner can decide whatever he wants with his car, no matter what anybody else thinks, even when its a ferrari. Good luck, If you can purchase it for a decent price, DO IT! and SELL THE PORSCHE! The chance of a lifetime, but realisticly, these kind of cars are no bargains (everybody knows the F40! (even my son at the age of 4).
Well that paints quite a different picture - had it been untouched for 9yrs its condition might not have been so good, but since you say it had been driven now and again then it might not be that bad. Let's hope for the best - very interesting story indeed! Especially for you If you can really buy it for more or less that price (with the certainty of no legal hassles later on), then GO FOR IT! Even if you aren't financially capable of bringing it back to shape, then I'm sure you could it pass it on for a nice profit. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity...
demo, i'm know somebody who is interested in that car. And it would go in very good hands. I hope you will clear your PM box. Regards,
www.joesackey.com Joe, I just discovered your web site, nice, but sorry to say that even it 's a marvelous site there is some stupid translation mistakes in French! so if you want some help, just PM me. Regards, Dom

what if DEMO is the one who owns it and this is his way of drawing attention to it so someone will buy it?? We havent seen any info to support it is a true F40 and worth what everyone is thinking. not saying there's any wrong doings here, but as the saying goes..If its too good to be true...it probably is. lets get a vin with info and that'll stop the doubters. who knows...
With pleasure. Feel free to let me know what the errors are and we will affirm them and fix them... Joe www.joesackey.com
Exotic cars in and around Sudia Arabia are pretty much just cars to the owners, who are most times princes or have so much money they could really care less about losing a half million dollar car. If a car breaks down on the driver/owner, more often then not they are left where they have broken, never to be recovered or fixed. You can buy ferrari's and other exotics for next to nothing if you know the right people.
+1 Check this thread and you will know why Ryan says that... http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=168562&highlight=f40+kit
and guys plz dont be so defesive ,,, we all share the same passion ,,, and am trying 1 put in the focus 1 missing F40 ,,, i did not try 2 sell u anything and i did not promiss anything ,,,, am just trying 2 share with u what i have seen ...
mr joe ,,, there are several F40's in saudi arabia ,,, i have seen two so far ,,, and some i trust so another 1 in another city ,,, and told that three other people have F40's so i would say around 5 F40's min ,,,, Sure about 2 and i saw two F50's and saw 1 muira ... long time ago ,,, i guess it was white or something like that ,,, not sure if it was the orignial color but i saw it ,,, that might help u getting a clear picture of these car disturbution in the world ,,, and maybe help u getting more info about these car history and yeah i have seen to F40's first 1 was involved in a small accedient then repaired in a workshop in saudi ,,, but they did not do a good job ,,, then the owner sent the car to italy for proper fix ,,, the seconde 1 is the one in this thread ...
The no.1 guy to check the history for on this forum is Marcel Massini... a simple Vin number would make that process go well. Shoot a Private Message to him, or Email
Thanks for that response and your PM too. My partner will be in Jeddah soon so when you hear back from the owner we will see. The owner might not even sell it, as happens with many abandoned cars. There are some other cars we are looking at in the area. We brought back Miura SV 5076 from Saudi a few years ago and it is now totally restored. Similar story, it was abandoned.... The Prince purchased it new in 1972. Then in 1975 he saw and purchased an early Countach and he parked the Miura forgetting all about it! It stood there till we got it in 2004. Joe www.joesackey.com
That doesn't make sense. I think Inseachofdrivingnirvana was spot on; these cars are abandoned for the newest flavour of the month (week, year, whatever) as was the case with your Miura owner when the Countach came out. Do you think he was really a car guy, or just wanted to have the newest toy on the block? A real car guy, even with too much money, would accumulate anything he wanted, but also drive and maintain them. To drive a car (such as this F40) for 100 miles and store it correctly to maintain a museum-like quality is one thing, but to leave the car in a crap-hole shop without so much as checking in on it is not a car guy. I wonder how many abandoned Enzos are out there now?
