McLare Appeal

They appealed the stewards decision, not the finish order of the race. Apparently that route would have been more appropriate, if I can even use that woed in this situation.

 

Also, according to William's statements, it was not admissable because their cars were, in fact, within the limits of fuel temperature (allowed to be 10 degrees lower than 33c, lowest temperatures recorded by their cars were 35c and 31c). The original "too cold" fuel error possibly came from there being no difinitive way of actually checking fuel temperature.

 

You can only file an appeal against a decision from the stewards. The stewards never made a decision. The stewards only announced the race results.

McLaren should have filed a protest against the race results. They had time until 10pm local time on the day of the race. They missed that dead line. Had they filed the protest, the stewards could have come back and decided the results stand. Against that decision you can file an appeal.

It is appalling that a professional team like McLaren can't do better than this. Parkerfe should help them.
