How can you visually tell if you are looking at a 2003 575M Fiorano? Can any one tell by V.I.N.? or just options? How much value may it add to a Maranello?? Thanks so much for all reply's--

The vin will tell. If they are moving the brakes squeak like a mofo. Visually, they are a bit lower and they come standard with red calipers but lots of 575's are optioned with them.

I do not believe the VIN will tell whether a 575 has the FHP. I think the only way to really tell is to explore the car. Check the springs and the steering ECU. Ricambi has a PDF of what parts are different between a standard and FHP but as far as I know there is no obvious way.

I think you can also tell from the tail pipes. All the cars I have seen with that package appear to have larger tailpipes that almost appear to be two ply. I might be wrong in that all those cars have aftermarket exhaust as well, but every one I have seen in person share this trait.

The VIN will denote all factory installed options. This is not to say that one of the #'s or letters in the VIN is an indication however, Ferrari SpA or FNA can confirm options through the VIN.

If the car is on a lift, look on the inside aspect of the shocks and it will say (IIRC ) USA Racing.
