Anyone upgrade driving lights to euro-spec?

    I see that Ricambi America has the euro-spec foglights for the 512TR. Has anyone changed out their lights and upgraded? Any feedback?

    Any feedback from those with the euro-spec cars that have them already?

    euro light are 1000 times better than the crap for NA. The wiring is different in most cases.

    I did with the Euro Hella series hi / low beams including a really cool Euro flasher bulb with an orange running light inside the bulb, + sequential turning lights + hella fog lights.     Hi red4re,

    Yes, I remember seeing your pics a while back, it was most impressive! You managed to fit three projectors in to the light housing if I remember correctly.

    I have already went ahead and did the Sealed Beam --> H4 Hi/Lo in HID + H1 halogen for high path, and so far I love the results. One challenge was that I had to look long and hard for a vendor selling Hella H4/H1 lights but eventually I found them. I have also followed Silver GTS's suggestion and cleaned out my flash to pass light which helped a lot. It just seems to be lacking compared to what the euro cars seemed to have been fitted with.

    I was just curious if any other owners had done or had thought about getting those euro-spec lamps.

    I can tell you that I took a US spec Porsche from Florida to Europe in December 1993 and remember that with oncoming traffic my headlights were really useless, I vividly recall nearly falling off the road near Spa Francorchamps at night on a small road when a trcuk came the other way: I could not see a thing.

    If I were to do such a trip again with a US spec car I would DEFINITELY upgrade to Euro spec headlights.

    Just my 2 cents.
