Going to Italy!

We were in Rome in 2004 and it was a wonderful experience. We stayed in the "Villa Carpegna" which is a small 'burb' of Rome. Anyhow, make sure you see at least the following things whilst there;

1. Colosseum
2. Circus Maximus
3. The Forum (I was awe-struck walking through there)
4. Have a stroll down the Via Appia
5. Pantheon
6. Vatican Museum/St. Peters/Sistine Chapel (the wait to get into the museum may be long, so get there early AM and make sure you can kill the whole day there)

All in all, we made it through just fine going off of some good tourist books I bought at Barnes & Noble. The food is amazing, you'll notice that even if you have a couple of different pizzas, they will taste different because everything is original recipies and made from scratch! The only meal I was disappointed with in Rome was a steak (but that's been the case most times in other European countries as well). As for weather, we were there in August and it was sweltering hot here in Cincinnati when we left but the temps were 75 with no humidity and sun every day in Rome...paradise! But I don't know what kind of weather you can expect in November, but I'd pack some warmer clothes as I'm sure it'll get cool at night.

..Oh and make sure you walk down to check out the nightlife happening along the banks of the Tiber River. Pretty cool!

Sorry - Italy is my favorite place on the planet, but if you are not a Ferrari owner, you will not get close to the factory. Lots to do in Maranello though - so enjoy!

Galleria Ferrari will be as close to Ferrari property as you will get as a non-owner. You can peer through the fence at Fiorano and have your photo taken in front of the factory before the guard chases you off.
