With that being said....dont you think the garage guy holidng this car for 9 years in a corner somewhere plus servicing Pcars and the like think the price is worth more than 30K?

If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is.

Check the vin no with interpol, it could one of the many stolen cars in the Middle East. (In Dubai there are three TR's on the same number plate)

If it is a legal car and the owner is a prince, you are unlikely to be talking to him in person, but with his minions who may smell a profit for themselves. Tread carefully there are a lot of Princes in Saudi not all are rich.

Well, I will admit it is the best kit I ever ever seen. But even from just that one pic I can tell it is a fake.

The overall propotions are too small, the hole for the exhaust is the wrong shape, the tail lamps are in the wrong spot, the levers to release the engine
cover are not shaped right, the slits in the back window aren't curved enough....etc....etc....

well, i am suprised.. cause why doesnt the Mechanic just buy the car and the resell it. I guess he would have probably though about it too? The owner might just be some rich dude, who just uses the garage as storage. Well, its just a guess.
I would be in Saudi in jan, maybe i would be able to check with some friends there

From those angles it really is obvious that it is a replica.

But, it is a very nicely made one....

The roof line is what gives it away as a fake. That and the entire frond end is way out of proportion.

Good luck Demo.....I'm not too far away, I'm in Cairo, Egypt if there is anything I can do. That F40 is very interesting....keep us posted of your progress. If I were in your shoes, I would never give up on this car.

    Best regards, Tarek

I could not agree more Tarek K. as if I knew I had the slightest chance to purchase that F40 I would be all over it 24/7. Best of luck Demo!
