    I think this would be better suited for showing another male how an engine works; perhaps something to show a son interested in cars or something, but not a girl.

    My 10 year old daughter can name most of the major parts, and wants a Lamborghini when she grows up. I believe the only reason girls and women have seeming difficulty with this stuff is because to many men tell them thier stupid or that they cant. I have a friend who's daughter went to Embry Riddle and became PIC flying twin engine turbo prop commuter aircraft, simply because he told her she could do anything. They have the same ability to learn as a man, you just have to tell them they can. I always say that there may be things I dont want women to do, firefighting, police, front line military etc., but I dont think there is anything they cant do.

    then you live in a dream world. i have two daughters and i could name many things they can't do because they are woman. Do you think woman aren't interested in cars, generally, because men tell them they are stupid? that's the stupidest thing i have heard.

    piss up a rope for one. there are also many things they can't do as well as a man. some of your examples like firefighting and police work come to mind.
