"Turkey Run for Charity" - November 18th

How long will this run be? Just realized I need to get back before noon, maybe I'll come and just not stay for the lunch

 

Wow, this place isn't easy to find. We just drove around for an hour and a half looking for it! We passed Kohls and the Home Depot and stopped at the Howard Johnson to ask for directions but they didn't even know it was right down the street. The sign is easy to miss, it's right behind a small motel, I think it was the Edgewood Motel, next to Kohls.
The dealership's lot is small, are we parking next door at Kohls or Home Depot? No way that will fit more than 50-70 cars there.

 

That is the BACK of the dealership, yes you can only fit 50-70 cars back there but the side of the building holds another 50-70 and then both front lots about 20-30 one side and 10-20 the other side and then the opposit side of the building holds about 40-50 cars... you went in the BACK entrance, the front entrance is on the service road itsself from the 495 - Lng Island Expressway..... The Edgewood motel is by the hour so watchout hahhahaha See you in the AM......

When I agreed to be your passenger I saw nothing in the small print about having the top down on a day where there's 2 full pages on people hoping it doesn't snow!! You're straight up cruel John....haha. I'm leaving now, see everyone in a few hours!!

lol well we actually came in from the "front" entrance (service road) but that road was hard to get onto if you're already on jericho turnpike. it didn't help that my friend Nick's iPhone map was SHOWING US THE WRONG ADDRESS when we search for it, so a warning for anyone using an iPhone map- that's the wrong dot on the map. that's why we were driving in circles for hours hahah!

I'm very sorry, but I'm not going to be able to make it today. I've been sick as a dog since last night, I'm really disappointed. I hope you all have a great time and be sure to post pictures!!

 

OMG Today was awesome! The F50 didnt make it. But, it was still a nice run. I will post pictures soon.

We had the Nassau County Police Dept. Highway Patrol give us a FULL Police escort onto the Highway with closing down the whole roadway and exits for miles - Absoluetly PIMP!!!

We had a great run - most stayed together and there were NO casualties, and everyone had a GREAT time!

Check out Channel 12 News around 5PM. They had a camera crew on Ocean Parkway right by Wantagh filming all the cars passing by.
