Watching Ohio State vs Michigan was boring. Hope whoever the opponent from the PAC 10 is cleans OSU's plow in the Rose Bowl. And I believe they will.
Why, because you want OU to win? UGA is not as good as you think they are. Their QB and WRs are not good at all. They've been surviving on the ground game and that was stuttering today. They play very boring football. LSU - OU would be better.
FL vs LSU for the National Championship would be the best game. FL is way underrated only because of their loses but they are the second best team in the country. BTW how did Thug U do today....... oh , nevermind not too well I see.
lol, it would be the best game for YOU because you guys would win. Our secondary was f'n horrendous today against FAU of all teams. We gave up 300 yards in the first half. Believe it or not, I'm actually worried about FSU. I haven't said that in a number of years. Statistically, this is the worst UF defense since 1971.
Also, if any team is underrated, it has to be Ole Miss. They've given a lot of teams fits this year (including Florida's offense), but haven't been lucky to get the ball going their way a couple times. Their record isn't indicative of how they play. Now Alabama on the other hand...I don't understand how you lose to UL Monroe.
LOL I love how you quoted yourself.. haven't seen THAT before... Losses aren't the same as strikes inho, but I'm not exactly confident going into the REAL greatest rivalry in the nation, the Iron Bowl. For the record, Alabama didn't lose. John Parker Wilson won another game for the wrong team. As all of my predictions in this thread have come to fruition, the rest of my predictions are sure to realize. Carr is almost certainly gone, Less will have to answer the question that the reporters won't let him get away with dodging for two months, and Nutt is gone from Arkansas. There's no excuse to losing to La-Monroe for Alabama, or to any team from Louisiana. But things are certainly going to change in the future, at least if you know anything about how the system works. Frank, nothing changes between us. You can hate Saban and Alabama all you want, and all it does is make me love you that much more, because I really do think you're a textbook definition of an LSU fan. I watched the LSU game pulling for the Tigers and knowing you had a HUGE grin on your face. I hope your team can get to the title game. Arkansas is hot again, and whoever shows up from the East won't be easy, but I really, REALLY hope that your boys can show some other team why the SEC is the best in the nation, the same way Florida did. It won't be Oklahoma, it might be Kansas/ Missouri, it may still be West Virginia/ Ohio State. JUST GET THERE! I love this game. What a great week and chaotic year! AND IT'S NOT OVER! I'm a fan of the game, and this year (as with the F1 season) has been one that I won't soon forget, and we have NO IDEA who will be in the title game midway thru November. THINK ABOUT THAT! Crazy!Big 10 still needs a chamionship game though, just like everyone else. i think Illinois is playing the best ball in the conference atm.
Matt Ryan has another game with 58+ minutes of bad performance and then a bull**** late game TD pass to squeak out a victory. I hope this loser won't affect the Heisman race between real candidates. You know, the ones that DON'T throw more INTs than TDs in games, which he's already done. Almost did it again today, but got 1 TD and 1 INT.
texas tech just upset ou, now ou fans will just have to wait and see who they'll play for the big 12 championship. this ku-mizzou game this week is gonna be huge! let's go tigers!
During coverage yesterday afternoon on ABC, the pundits commented that if Missouri won the Big 12, that it would open the door for Ohio State to make a claim to play in the National Championship game. Come again? Of the one loss teams in contention, the only team that was beaten by a highly ranked opponent was Missouri. OSU lost late in the season to an team outside the top 20. The only scenario where OSU would get back into it would be if Oklahoma wins the Big 12. Otherwise, Kansas or Missouri versus LSU (assuming LSU wins out).
Bennett I'm starting to feel sorry for Alabama, you have been ripped off. big time. In three years you are going to be looking to file a poleice report for Nick's theft, don't believe me ask Don Shula. I'm hoping you make the road trip next year so we can get together for the game. The media seems fairly certain Les isn't going to be the first call for the Michigan job. We will have to see on that one. If he does stay at LSU then I think the fans will start to warm up to him. One poll I saw has 53% wanting him to take the Michigan job if it is offered. Everyone needs a championship game on that we agree. So what is your prediction for the LSU Arkansas game, Auburn /Bama . Was the QB pulled when it became obvious he was winning the game for the other team???
If WVU wins out, they should get the nod over OSU. Kansas can still go, but I think OU will win the Big XII championship game.
In three years if things haven't changed, I'll bake you a king cake the size of Tiger Stadium myself! "The media seems fairly certain Les isn't going to be the first call for the Michigan job." Really? All I've heard is "I hope his inbox is empty because he's about to be flooded with calls." If not Less, who is the first call? What kind of media are you reading in Halifax that the rest of us don't get? If he brushes off his best opportunity to coach at his alma mater to stay in Baton Rouge, the LSU fans will completely change their tune and profess their undying love for him. LSU v Ark: Stop the run! Stop the run! Stop the run! Stop the run! Their defense can let some points go but if McFadden/ Jones get into a groove and control the clock things could turn sour real quick. Iron Bowl: If Jon Parker Wilson starts, which I'm all but certain he will, then Alabama fans will probably have to wait until next year and a new dual-threat QB to get an Iron Bowl victory. Tuberville has a bye week to prepare, as have just about every SEC team to play Alabama(four teams by my count:Ark, MSU, LSU, FSU). I CAN predict that Tubs will try some trickery: he always does. He's trying to rise his stock to entice larger offers from other schools. Whether he leaves or not, he's trying to get a bigger paycheck. Alabama also lost Javier Arenas, the special teams quickfoot. That's a big blow, similar to losing Tyrone Prothro a few years ago. I'd like to say that "this is a rivalry game and all stats get thrown out the window," but ask Michigan how that works out. Auburn will be well rested, well prepared, and fired up. They will have their toilet paper in hand and ready to trash their own town(which I still don't understand, but hey, what else is there to do in Auburn?).
Alabama also had a bye week going into the LSU game. And I'll hold you to the Stadium sized king cake. I think the main sticking point with Les, and it is Les not less , going to Michigan maybe the million and a quarter buyout. On top of the salary they will have to pay the buyout I can't wait to 8 in a row and see that cake.
And it helped, didn't it? I was stating that four teams had two weeks to prepare for Alabama. That extra prep time obviously helps, wouldn't you agree? You really think that? $1.5 mil may be a lot to some schools, but not Big Blue. The buyout will have no affect on their decision.
Yes it helps. You are right it probably won't but if you can get someone else w/o the 1.5 million they may go that way. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Shocker that OU lost, but without their star QB, I guess it could be foreseen. Kind of like Oregon losing after their qB got hurt. At least LSU has two QB's, so they should be safe. I think UGA has a VERY good QB, I would think that showed when they played UF. So my Canes lost AGAIN, oh well. It is good to get your shots in this year, and maybe next year too. Pretty soon we will be back (as long as we don't fire our current coach). At least this week we kept it interesting for the first 40 minutes (unlike last week). When did they change the games to 60 minutes anyway??? Maybe we can sqeak a win out over BC like last year to become bowl eligible. The last time they beat us was that Flutie hail mary thing in 1984. So LSU vs. KU or Mizzou if they win the Big 12, otherwise I'd go with WVU, and finally tOSU if any of those don't win out (LSU WVU, etc...). I don't know if any team could beat LSU (that is in contention), but maybe they will win the game before it is played and fall victim like many teams manage to do. I think Les would be crazy to go to Michigan (although I think he will go there). The dollars are not an issue for the Michigan football program. BT
So you are already planning on a losing season for next year ?? LSU still has two very tough games to play and now the team has to deal with the Miles speculation.
Go KU! My guess is mangino will outcoach the MU coach(Pinkett?) and be the difference in the game on saturday. Maybe I will have to come down to New Orleans!
If there were still any questions left, it's now official: Lloyd Carr is stepping down as head coach of Michigan. He's told his players and staff and the AP, and will give a press conference in the morning.
I hear Nick Saban is the front runner right now. A offer of 6 million per year for 9 years is on the table,
